News Briefs 20-04-2015

Happy 420 day! Coming right on the back of Bicycle Day, today’s news briefs may make you wonder if you’ve come back down yet…

Quote of the Day:

When you study natural science and the miracles of creation, if you don’t turn into a mystic you are not a natural scientist.

  1. Happy 420!
    Happy 420 from Vancouver!

I shall attempt to fully investigate the mysterious, and possibly miraculous, events of the day… the turning of U2 into Tool (Hallelujah!), the turning of bicycle trips into trippy journeys, and the turning of modern views toward greater acceptance of ancient medicine.

In the words of Marc Emery, Peace and Pot!

I do not know what 420 is but happy it!

U2: So I’m not the only one who thinks that U2 has terrible music? Excellent (bring on the rage).

Yoda: Please go to this link, it’s awesome

Wikipedia: The site where knowledge goes to commit suicide surrounded by fields of roses 😛

Medusa lake: He has more great (eerie? sad?) photos for anyone who cares to see: http://theawesomer.com/medusa-lake/254992/

  3. Alien Empires
The search for alien empires in the universe ends with the recommendation for more funding. (Summary: We found a dark spot and a bright spot. May we have more money now?) I don’t think I’ve ever heard of an academic study that didn’t cite the need for more research. What we really need is funding to identify and research the things that academia doesn’t care about.

At least the aliens are back on Friday nights with back-to-back (new) episodes of Ancient Aliens and Hangar 1. (Really have missed the buggers!) Enjoyed the matching season premiere episodes on alien/UFO interest in human warfare. Do they really want to stop it or do they actually get off on it?
