Quote of the Day:

The basic tool for the manipulation of reality is the manipulation of words. If you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must use the words.

  1. News
Modern art: I respect artists like Pollock but I loathe modern art.

Secret society: I don’t count Scientology as a secret society. I count it as a cult and so does every other country but the US.

Illuminati: Do you really think Donald Trump would be associated with them? C’mon folks, even the Illuminati aren’t that crazy.

  2. The Myth of Science
It’s amazing the lengths that scientists will go to in order to explain away the fact that the ancients had knowledge of the galaxy and encoded it into myth. They even had knowledge of galactic predation (“cosmic hunting”).

  3. psi development
    Supernormal abilities developed through meditation

“There’s still an enormous amount of fear associated with these phenomena because of how they’re portrayed in Hollywood, usually in the horror genre,” Radin said. …

He said we may be seeing an echo of the witch trials in the fear-based approach to supernormal phenomena. Those trials went on for some 500 years and left their mark on our psyches. “If someone has witch-like characteristics … they have traditionally been considered scary at best and evil at worst,” he said.

Yeah, how they’re portrayed in Hollywood — and how they’re portrayed in some Christian churches. Case in point, the first comment posted under this article:

Any supernormal abilities developed through meditation belong to satan. Leaving your mind open just invites satan to walk right on in. If you don’t ask God into your heart and soul, your offering them to satan. Ignorance is bliss, and satan loves it.

Who came up with this nutty idea that meditation makes your mind blank and open to outside influences?

It annoyed me that the article didn’t include a definition of meditation, or say what kinds of meditation were best for developing psi.

Contemplation works as well or better than sitting meditations. And no, contemplation isn’t the same thing as ‘mindfulness’.

    1. I am a devoted meditator
I am a devoted meditator using various audio files as scaffolding, but this does remind me of an episode of one of the popular reality television ghost shows that featured the experience of a woman who had taken up meditation in her home only to be suddenly “invaded” during one of her sessions by a most troubling male being which she finally determined to be her deceased grandfather who had been a practitioner of satanic ritual and who had had people over for group practice in a locked basement room when she was a child. The invasion took the form of a permanent attachment or “possession” that made her life very uncomfortable. The afflicted woman gradually pieced together what had been going on. I forget how the problem was resolved.
In my case surrounding myself with the positive vibe of my own orgonite seems to provide protection of all sorts.
