  1. Ramses III
Ramses III actually survived the so-called “Harem Conspiracy”.

(scroll down to the section titled “Power to Tread on Serpents”)

Another controversial oddity about Ramses III is that the mummy believed to be his does not have the royal Y-DNA haplotype (R1b1a2) and may have been a commoner (E1b1a haplotype) buried in his place!

  2. Saint Sulpice
    Firstly……ANDREW GOUGH!!!! <3

Secondly, if I recall the church still prints out little pink slips translated into English tells tourists that Dan Brown was full of shit...in nicer words of course.

    Mmmmmmmmm...octopus 😉

  3. Ramesses III
I got as far as ’eminent Egyptologist Zahi Hawass’ in the first paragraph and gave up at that point in thinking I was going to read something of interest. I was not dissappointed.

    1. “Eminent Egyptologist”
Ha! Where was the “multiple assassin” theory when Hawass was determining the cause of death of Tut (whose mummy is far more mutilated)?

In this new book, I also wonder if Hawass will continue to suppress the data on Tut’s haplotype that was inadvertently leaked in the NatGeo documentary?

…or how about the tantrum he threw before his debate with Graham Hancock? That could pad a chapter or two 😛

  4. Planet 9 and Pepi II
The “Planet 9” buzz has inspired me to revisit and update the book I put out this time last year, “A Twisted History: Genesis and the Cosmos.”

For example, it’s quite interesting that the final dynasty of the Egyptian Old Kingdom was dedicated to the god Apophis (Pepi), which we know from Egyptian mythology to have been the sickly dwarf sun. Apophis was the nemesis of the healthy/primary twin sun, Re, during the formation of the solar system, but was pacified and then bereft of its “children” (i.e., planets).

The Egyptian 6th Dynasty was honoring Apophis, the “anti-Sun,” as an attempt to weaken the primary sun, Re, and alleviate drought conditions! One of the few personal details we have from this dynasty is a letter written by the child-prince Pepi II, who was obsessed with bringing a dwarf to the royal court. No doubt this dwarf became the mascot of the pygmy sun Apophis.

Whether there is still a missing planet in our solar I cannot say. But there is certainly still a missing brown dwarf out there. Like Pepi Le II, let’s make it our plaything too!
