So beautiful…Threshold of Transformation, by Isis (volume warning – it comes in haaard)…

Quote of the Day:

The dangerous man is the one who has only one idea, because then he’ll fight and die for it. The way real science goes is that you come up with lots of ideas, and most of them will be wrong.

  1. The pyramid emporer’s new clothes
It’s grimly fascinating to watch Zahi Hawass twisting endlessly in the winds of change. The world has turned upside down for everyone in Egypt, but somehow he’s convinced it’s just about HIM. Sigh.

  2. Tut tut, looks like… sh*t
Re: The first British crop circle of 2011.

If I may, this particular crop circle is rather funkyfied compared to some of the more elaborate models. A close-up of the center almost reveals what appears to be the compass pin for creating it… probably with boards and ropes.

And since this one looks pretty clearly man (or drunken man) made, shouldn’t we now immediately suspect that all crop circles are such? I mean, that’s how it works with ghosts and UFOs. If you catch one person hoaxing, then they must ALL be that way.

That’s science and logic, right? Right?

Never mind… just pass me a beer.

    1. First crop circle
Looked a bit dodgy to me too. Some of the outer circles aren’t proper circles – they have kinks in them.

I think for this one – fail.

  3. from a Process-Reality-Dept.
What kinda blew my mind was when I found out that what I think of as particles (electrons, neutrionos, neutrons, gluons, etc etc) are really just fluctuations in various fields. In other words, these particles, which make up everything I know, are just a process, a RELATIONSHIP.

    They aren’t things.
