Darklore Volume 3 Released!!

Forget that other announcement about an impending book by Dan Whatisname – I’ve got the goods for you, and you can have it now. That’s right, Darklore Volume 3 is now available for sale! Hidden history, the paranormal and Forteana, all packed into 316 fascinating pages of fun. As with previous releases, DL3 is available in paperback format, or as a limited edition hardcover, restricted to just 333 copies, for all the collectors out there.

And here’s the cover:

Here’s a sampling of the kick-ass content in Volume 3:

  • Nick Redfern has some groundbreaking revelations about the Roswell mystery, which suggest that what happened in New Mexico was completely human, and rather nasty to boot. This one is going to cause plenty of controversy!
  • Robert Bauval investigates the missing sarcophagus of the Egyptian pharaoh Menkaure.
  • Mike Jay takes a look at how the world’s most famous fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes, had quite a raging cocaine habit.
  • Robert Schoch finds a sacred Egyptian locale which may have provided the setting for the Biblical tale of Moses upon the mountain.
  • Theo Paijmans examines the occult roots of Nazi technology.
  • Greg Taylor goes in search of near-death experiences, before they were known to the general public.
  • The Emperor looks at what may be the greatest sci-fi tale ever told: The Philadelphia Experiment.
  • Adam Gorightly digs deep into sordid tales of sex, drugs and UFOs.
  • Greg Bishop profiles the ‘Magus of Delaware’, Mario Pazzaglini.
  • Geoff Falla finds interesting connections between earthquakes and meteor reports.
  • Blair MacKenzie Blake opens his rare-book collection to give us all a glimpse into the strange circumstances surrounding the legendary ‘Varo Edition’ of UFO investigator M.K. Jessup’s book The Case for the UFO.
  • Philip Coppens traces the forgotten (or is that hidden?!) traditions surrounding the star Canopus.
  • Michael Tymn tells a tale of archaeology from beyond the grave.
  • Neil Arnold goes in search of Dutch monsters in his article “Neverland in the Netherlands”.

Once again, it’s a great mix of subjects, from some of the best researchers and writers in the field. I’ll be posting some free content from DL3 later in the week, just in case you’re not convinced by the above.

I really appreciate the support everyone has shown for Darklore so far (Volume 1 has now sold around 1500 copies), and I’m sure that Volume 3 will give you plenty of enjoyment. Each release we’re aiming to be bigger and better, so please don’t hesitate to send feedback – good or bad – on what you think of the anthology.

Lastly, for those who think the cover image is pretty sweet, here’s some desktop wallpaper versions to download (in both widescreen and 4:3 ratio).

Let’s see if we can give that Brown fellow a run for his money in the Amazon rankings (hey, I can dream can’t I?)….

(Note: As with Darklore Volume 2, Amazon seem to be sending out unrealistic delivery estimates to some purchasers. It’s a book they can source in 24 hours, so I’m not sure what causes this bug in their system. Given previous experience with it though, rest assured the delivery will be much earlier than they are predicting.)

  1. Nick Redfern and Roswell Revelations
Redfern’s news has already been released in his book “Body Snatchers in the Desert. The Horrible Truth at the Heart of the Roswell Story”. Finding it online is trivial. So is finding most of what he “reveals”, posted long before his book. Still, his book makes slightly different claims.

He states that the ‘aliens’ were Japanese handicapped prisoners. The previously available material states that the Japanese prisoners, kept as such after the war as war criminals, were scientists, engineers and pilots. We had no reason to imprison Japanese handicapped persons. They wouldn’t have been soldiers, and after the surrender we took no prisoners except of the sort above (Unit 731, etc.). The prisoners built and flew in balloons-dropped gliders and partially powered craft. Needing more bodies for testing (of high altitude effects and possible radiation exposure from same), the US ‘hired’ handicapped persons, often from sanitariums and other facilities (where else were they going to get work, or even out of the facilities?). Many of those were persons with trisomy 21, Down’s Syndrome. Their small stature fit into the gondolas/cockpits designed for the also-small Japanese.

An exercise for the reader: get some face-morphing software. Feed it a picture of a Down’s Syndrome person and morph it onto pictures of burnt corpses or the bloated faces of those dead from hypoxia (and note the color of the latter; they’re only blue for a little while). See if you recognize the results.

No, I am not the brain specialist…..
YES. Yes I AM the brain specialist.

    1. Really?

Funny, I have Body Snatchers in the Desert. The Darklore 3 material is not from it (It’s actually new discoveries since publication of that book – hence the title “Body Snatchers: Before and Beyond”). I would imagine that buying the book and reading the article is…trivial.
      😉

      Kind regards,

  2. Darklore III
Guys, I am ordering this volume as we speak. Best way for me to support your site is through these books. My daughter thinks the subjects are weird but she knows the mainstream does not cut it for me. Keep it up, this is a brilliant way for me to add new paradigms to my library and to stop me from being stuck in my reality tunnel.

    All the best

Thanks Freeman. The great thing is, buying Darklore not only supports this site, but also other sites belonging to the contributors (allowing them to post free material online) and funding new research. So it’s all a win.

      Kind regards,
      Greg

  3. Darklore
Ordered my copy yesterday. Darklore is just great. I place my favorite books in my livingroom bookshelf. So that family and friends can look at them and maybe get interested. The Darklore series are among these books. Just keep them coming. I will buy.

  4. Perfect timing
I just finished Vol. 2 last week (purchased too late to get a hardcover, same for vol. 1). I’m very excited to have snagged a hard cover of Vol. 3 yesterday. I love the Darklore books and will definitely continue to add them to my library as they are released.
Thank you for your time and effort in releasing these outstanding books!

    -Cheers
