Alien Worlds #2

Issue 2 of Alien Worlds magazine has been released, and there is some fabulous content within. Paul Devereux details his research into ‘earth lights’, Nick Redfern offers an update on his ‘Saucer Spies’ research, and Stuart Miller interviews ‘circlemaker’ and documentary producer John Lundberg about the making of his UFO-intelligence agency film “Mirage Men”. Much more besides, check out the website for details – well worth supporting this mag, which seems to be pushing ‘ufology journalism’ in some decent directions.

  1. Stanton T. Friedman and SETI
Mr Friedman seems to have quite a dislike of SETI – but at least SETI is doing something contructive whereas what is Friedman doing except making money out of the ‘UFO business’?

      Hi Nostra,

Good point. Though I think a good deal of the antipathy has arisen out of SETI’s alignment with CSICOP, in particular Seth Shostak and Jill Tarter’s numerous public/media appearances in which they basically rubbished UFO research.

      Kind regards,
      Greg

      1. Constructive
Is SETI doing “something constructive”? It’s quite a gamble to assume alien civilisations use the same radio technology that we do. If SETI took serious UFO research, well, seriously, they’d know the truth is here, not out there. In making a wild assumption, they’re no more scientific than Whitley Strieber.

And that’s quite a baseless stament to make Nostra, accusing Stanton Friedman of only being in it for the money. That is so far from the truth – just like SETI and alien civilisations. Stanton is a genuine researcher who couldn’t give a hoot about making a buck. He’s stubborn like a mule and won’t consider anything but nuts-and-bolts theories, but he’s not a money-grabbing snakeoil salesman.

What are you doing wasting your time with NDEs and life beyond death, Greg. Ya should get into the “UFO business”! I’m sure you’re scrubbing yourself with $100 notes in a bathtub full of gold coins, thanks to the vast fortune TDG has made you. More money than if you wrote Harry Potter And The Phoenix Lights. 😉
