This is what annoys me so much:
And when physiological activity of the brain ceases, as far as anyone can tell, a person’s consciousness goes out of existence. Attempts to contact the souls of the dead — a pursuit of serious scientists a century ago — turned up only cheap magic tricks. And near-death experiences are not eyewitness reports of a soul parting company with the body, but symptoms of oxygen starvation in the eyes and brain. In November 2006, a team of Swiss neuroscientists reported that they could turn out-of-body experiences on and off by stimulating the part of the brain where vision and bodily sensations converge.
So there you are: that’s all settled then – and be good children and please don’t ask any more of your silly little questions about all that after-death nonsense.

Excellent point.
Attempts to contact the souls of the dead — a pursuit of serious scientists a century ago — turned up only cheap magic tricks.
In fact, those “serious scientists” concluded that the evidence was in the positive for some sort of contact from the dead. Quite astounding how he can come out with that statement, which is absolutely the opposite!

Kind regards,
Greg

1. In fact, Greg, every point
In fact, Greg, every assertion he presents as fact in that outrageous quote can be vigorously challenged. But – as demonstrated accurately by your snip – it is the arrogant “serious scientists” jibe that really shows what he is about here.

1. LOL!!
From The Book of Thoth:
Imagine the amount of cannabis rope it would have taken to construct the Temple of Solomon. What other way was there to construct ropes at that time, which could lift the weights of not only the Temple of Solomon, but in fact, the Pyramids themselves.
So THAT’S why it took so many years to build these things back in the old days!

-Ok, We brought some more stones… where’s the rope?
-(Cough)Beats me maaaaaan…
🙂

And then, that fragance that is supposed to be exuded from the uncorrupt corpses of saints… was that PATCHOULI?????

It’s not the depth of the rabbit hole that bugs me…
It’s all the rabbit SH*T you stumble over on your way down!!!

But I like gardening:)

Just putting up my cold-frame pop-up tent for my winter greens. Stays warm enough in western/central Oregon to garden into the winter. Happy Autumnal Equinox/Mabon to all.
Spending this Sunday with my friend Erin and baby Mira. Going to Hood River to pick up Apples/Pears, jellies, lavender, and Alpaca yarn. Mira likes the alpacas:)
Hubby has to work:( His Campus is getting ready for the start of classes this week. And he’ll hopefully get in a football game or two during a break!
