With this week marking the 60th anniversary of the modern UFO phenomenon (‘starting’ with Kenneth Arnold’s sighting on the 24th of June, 1947, although there are certainly previous incidents), Wired Magazine has published a feature article on the history of ufology. While the history is brief to the point of being confusing (and there are mistakes, such as Antonio Villas-Boas all of a sudden being British), it’s interesting to see that major publications still see the topic as worthy of consideration – and this is borne out by the fact that the story is the second most popular on the Wired website at the moment.
