Psience of UFO Propulsion

I’ve just added a new guest article to the Features section here on TDG – “UFOs and the Zero Point Field“, by Marie D. Jones, who is the author of the book Psience: How New Discoveries in Quantum Physics and New Science May Explain the Existence of Paranormal Phenomena (Amazon US and UK). The article gives a short overview of the science of zero point fields, and how this cutting edge topic may have relevance for ufology.

  1. no attribution in this “PSCIENCE” article
Why is there almost a total lack of modern references in this article? Very big claims are made, like the following-
“Quantum physicists have discovered that there is a field of energy that permeates every inch of space, one so fundamental it is considered to be the source of all other forms of energy and matter.” WOW!
    Then this on- even bigger!

“Later research has shown that the ZPF is made up of particles that “pop” in and out of existence, creating a sort of foam of virtual particles, each with their own residual “jiggle” or minute rate of oscillation.” HOLY COW!

No attribution. NONE. What, where, when- WHO said this?

C’mon folks- this is not a book any serious person would want to buy, if that is what this article is, an advert for a book

    1. ZPF
I have not yet read the book, but I would like to comment on the subject. I became aware of the ZPF in May of 1971 as an aspect of a spontaneous initation. I didn’t learn of the recognition by modern science until recently. I encountered it back then as part of a what might be called a religious experience. I already had a hard science background in basic research, so I comprehended the significance of the experience as it happened. In all of the years since, I have never found a single aspect of the information I gained to be false or erroneous. I find it very interesting and salutary that the world-view is becoming more available now. I would judge the book more from comparing it with what I know than from citations and references to known science. I plan to get the book and I will post a critique here when I have digested it. I found the information in “The Field” by Lynne Taggart to be a pretty good introduction to the subject, although I remain skeptical about some of the conclusions reported there.
