Tuesday Roundup 07-11-2006

Back in business, although the connection remains dodgy – pray for me! In the meantime, here’s some interesting reading to keep you busy…

  • This week’s Binnall of America audio interview is with Paola Harris on the history of ufology and exopolitics (mp3/podcast or streaming Flash player).
  • Skeptical Investigations has part 4 of Guy Lyon Playfair’s series “Has CSICOP Lost the 30 Years’ War?”. The previous instalments are linked here for those new to the series.
  • The Psychedelic Salon has a new podcast available, the latest is Dale Pendell’s 2006 Burning Man lecture “Horizon Anarchism”.
  • The latest edition of Jim Moseley’s Saucer Smear newsletter (53:9) is now available online.
  • SurvivalAfterDeath.org has another historical essay available, the latest addition is “Genuine Telekinetic Phenomena“, by Hereward Carrington.
  • UFO Casebook #230 has been released.
  • Skeptical Randi’s latest newsletter even has some religious jokes in it.

Enjoy!

  1. connection problems
I had that sort of connection problem, some months ago.

The response of the company that provides the cables to my house was always the same: “don’t worry, it is a known problem”.

Well yes, it was known to me especially.

Some months later, they refunded me a whopping $40.

So Greg, get prepared for a night out at your favorite fast food place, with a cheap bottle of beer.

  2. ‘Pray For Me!’
Mojo! I always wondered what happened to you after you left The Simpsons and now I know – you changed your identity and became Greg! I always knew there was something familiar about your voice but until you said those magic words – “Pray for me!” – you had me completely fooled; and yet, when I think about it…the general all round hairiness, the endless filling your face with doughnuts, the cute ‘little’ round podgy belly, the endless tapping away at your little keyboard asking us to pray for you, the unchanged soiled diaper…so many infallible clues!

But then again even when I thought you were ‘just’ Greg I always found you such a cheeky monkey!
