Some weak foundations appear to be on the verge of crumbling….

Happy birthday for yesterday Mum (and Cam, and Mr MJK)!

Quote of the Day:

We all feed on tragedy, it’s like blood to a vampire. Vicariously, I live while the whole world dies. Much better you than I.

  1. I feel so guilty
We may never see Rico again. For the past week I’ve been bombarding him with screen-shots and reviews of Oblivion: The Elder Scrolls IV, and it was too much for him. He went out and bought it, and now he’s off to close the gates of hell. And since it has more than 200 dungeons and around 400 hours of game time – if you rush right through it – he could easily be in another world for the next year or two.

Oh well, at least he got a breath of country air this weekend before beginning his prophecied quest.

    1. Farewell TDG
I thought World of Warcraft would be the end of me, but it was mere practice for the real thing — Oblivion. Luckily, my housemate is a nurse, and I’m being fed via an intravenous drip. Come to think of it, that’s how I do the news too.

Now excuse me, I have a prophecy to fulfil …
I am a wow addict myself. Got Oblivion, played it for about 5 hours, got bored. Back to wow now.
Lot of people playing computer games here it seems.;)

        2. Bored? I may have a solution…
          >>Got Oblivion, played it for about 5 hours, got bored.

You got Oblivion: The Elder Scrolls IV – and you didn’t like it? Humm, if you still have it, maybe I could take it off your hands and put it to semi-good use. (I say ‘semi-good use’ because my 866 MHz computer is a far cry from the recommended 2 GHz.) If you’re interested in selling it, send me an email, and let’s see if we can work out a deal. 😉

          1. Counterstrike: Source.
Counterstrike: Source. Forget all the others…
            😉

You monkeys only think you’re running things

          2. Good to know I’m not alone!
I got my butt kicked by 14-year-olds when I played Counter-Strike in an internet games cafe a few years ago. “Pwned” I think is the word they used to describe my defeat. I guess I’m a “noob”. They were cheating and had “auto-aim” on anyways.

Thrustbucket, what WoW realm do you play on? Maybe we should start up a TDG guild. Oblivion is the first single-player game I’ve played in a month, and after playing it last night I worked out why I felt a little disconnected — there were no other players. Still a brilliant game, absolutely stunning to hear and look at, but I find myself missing the social aspect (har!) of online multiplayer games.

Has anyone played Nibiru: Age of Secrets? It’s an adventure game where you play an archaeology student uncovering an ancient Mayan mystery and Nazi plot. Should be right up TDG’s alley. The Omega Stone is another that blends alternative archaeology and mysteries, it’s a sequel to Riddle of the Sphinx. Those who don’t like shooting things (or get pwned by 14-year-olds) will probably like these games better.

Ah, it’s good to be a Nerd! =)

            Rick

          3. Ahh yes Nerdom!
I remember when text based was the way to go, Ahh sweet MegaMudd! I have not played that game for some time now, I have moved on to better things. But that game to this day as far as I’m concerned still is by far one of the best.

          4. Yeah I am a gamer, I
Yeah I am a gamer, I recently left the game industry as an ocupation actually.

            I play on Whisperwind.
