TOOL – 10,000 Days

Everybody’s favourite ‘esoteric’ rock band TOOL have announced a new album to be released on May 2nd: 10,000 Days. Featuring such evocative track names as “Lost Keys (Blame Hoffman)” and “Rosetta Stoned”, the new album is available for pre-order from Amazon.com. Both the TOOL website and Amazon.com are also carrying the cover art for “10,000 Days” (about time that Blair guy put up the March newsletter too…). Looks like an Alex Grey piece from his Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (??).

  1. This is not Lateralus II.
You know, I think I’m glad Blair mentioned those words, because if they put out something even remotely beyond what Lateralus achieved I think I might just combust into pure energy and join the vast expanse.

Probably a good thing, but I’ve got stuff to do here first!

Edit: I was the 93rd read. Bahaha.

  2. Re: TOOL – 10,000 Days
Alex Grey,(a totally inspiring and wonderful human being, who I have been lucky enough to meet several times =p )did, in fact do the mystical artwork for 10,000 Days. I find it quite similar to his “BARDOBEING” painting finished in 2002. http://alexgrey.net/a-gallery/bardobeing.html I just got the album, yes a week early, and it is f@ck!ng awesome!!!
But why the hell are the cheap seats for the few US TOUR Dates $420????? WTF?!?!?!? Thats as much as it costs to see Mick Jagger’s geriatric azz…… =P

I HEREBY ORDER SOMEONE TO GET GOOD, REPEAT G 0 0 D VIDEO FO0TAGE OF THis SPECTACLE!!!!!!!! YOU WILL BE GREATLY REWARDED FOR DOING SO!!!!!!

  3. Oh my f-n god…..
Not that I expected anything less, but 10,000 Days absolutely blows my mind to bits.

Are the guys in Tool actually human? I’m questioning this because I have a hard time believing that mere humans could compose something so completely astounding.

    Cannot…. wait…. to….. see….. them….. live……

  4. I’ve worked it out!
I know why TOOL call themselves TOOL.
Because they are the tool by which they bring you the music.
Now a round of applause by all readers would be nice.
It only took me a few weeks to discover that.
