On the other hand, the Sunday Herald claims the top-running entry is one that refers to Bonnie Prince Charlie, the Jacobites and Freemasonry. Before you get too excited about finding the answer though, note that the Times Online article says the competition is “unlikely to throw up a definitive winner or to end the dispute over the inscription’s meaning”
