Afterlife Stories From Children

One of the more fascinating facts about near-death experiences is that they are sometimes reported by very young children (somewhat confounding the ‘cultural expectation hallucination’ explanation). Here’s an interesting short clip featuring the near-death experience research of Dr Melvin Morse which focuses on the NDEs of children:

Love the opening quote:

I used to think when you died, you just sort of died…that was it, you just sorta checked out into the darkness.

And when you’ve had a small child pat you condescendingly on the wrist, like I’ve had, and say ‘You’ll see Dr Morse, heaven is fun’…you can’t help but be fascinated by these experiences.

And here’s the NDE that kick-started Melvin Morse’s interest in the topic:

  1. The Light
I had NDE numerous times and was brought before a great ball of pure white light within the darkness. All my sensual attributes were swept away as it washed my luminance conscious self of physical holdings into a free state of untethered illuminated consciousness. The light is what empowers the human spirit within the sensual realm of the corporeal state of being.

When we are translated into the corporeal, we are reminded to believe. Children are not afraid of death since they have not acquired the belief of life in the physical yet.

When the empowered spirit births a soul that reaches the stage of accepting life as a physical entity, fear of death becomes a a shocking reality.

That is, until soul separation is experienced and one realizes the end is only the beginning.

  2. NDE in children
My son experienced a NDE when he was young, and the experience does seem to have affected his life since then. For some reason is is now wondering around Australia…

But seriously, his experience (related previously in TDG) has given him a good and positive outlook on life and death he says, is not to be feared.
