Re: Rendlesham UFO was a U.S. cover-up
This is a fast and hard reminder of the US Air Force's history of efforts to explain away Roswell. First it was a weather balloon. Then it was Project Mogul. Oh, and those alien bodies? Crash test dummies that weren't crash-tested until wayyyyy well after the 1947 date.
So, in Rendlesham there was this UFO that was reportedly seen, approached and -depending on your preferred version of events- even touched by base personnel. It's a tough story to deny, too, considering all the former members of the military that have come forward with witness testimony.
The Apollo capsule is as ridiculous as those dummies.
The dates don't work.
The logic doesn't work.
Lame excuse FAIL.
(You know now, without a doubt, that they take us all as complete idiots.)
Now... if they had said that there was a model of the then-forthcoming Space Shuttle that was accidentally dropped, over England, they could have at least drawn the attention of a few old James Bond fans.
PS -
Thanks Greg... a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and all here at TDG!
(But... to be honest, I am in wayyyy too deep now to unplug 8)

A fascinating part of the story of these newly found ancient ancestors is that this is reconstructed from one (1) finger and one (1) tooth.
Sort of reminds me of the start of this movie.

Yeah, I know, but Christmas was once Saturnalia, and that's what we celebrate at my home.... but why confuse my neighbors, eh?
I love this place. I know our politics don't see eye to eye, but this site is always a daily read. There's always something of interest to check out, and I, for one, appreciate the work you all do to keep the place up and running. Hopefully, things on my end will improve enough that I can help out, at least financially.
Nonetheless, thanks from me to all who make this site a part of my daily life.
Merry Christmas, and may we all enjoy a good and prosperous New Year!
Respects,

I was pleased that this was mostly in-fighting amongst the science-types and not the usual witch-burning of the non-believers (or rejectors of the old paradigm)
The recent critiques of the arsenic-based life-form and such help to weaken commonly held misconception that 'science' is the only way to 'know' anything.

I think Redoubt had an excellent comment.
I can't explain what happened at Rendlesham. but I know it wasn't some inside job conceived and executed by NASA as a cover-up for an Apollo failure. What utter tripe. There is simply no rational or even good faith basis for suggesting such a ridiculous alternative. It is an insult to anyone who knows of the incident to put forth such a shoddily sourced and poorly researched counter-story without the least explanation of how to account for the reports made by at least 6 separate individuals who laid eyes on what plainly appeared to them to be an extraterrestrial craft under intelligent control. One or two persons actually touched the craft. And it most certainly was not a US spacecraft being recoered.
What an insult this fiction is to everyone who has ever read about Rendlesham.
