More Front Page Additions

Continuing on with rolling upgrades/changes to the site: at the bottom of the front page (only) there are now listings of the newest members, the users currently browsing the site, and the most popular content of the day. I may just sleep sometime soon though, so don't hold your breath for anything else for a few days.

Thanks, Greg. Now I feel that my favourite website has the features that I loved about it before (not to forget, also, that Taylor bloke who runs it!). Sweet dreams!

Have you considered structuring the News Briefs similar to sites like Neatorama and BoingBoing?

Would make it much more easy to share individual stories across the web, and make sure DG gets discovery credit. Easier to read in RSS readers as well.

What possible reason could there be for TDG to structure any part of the site in a similar way to someone else's site? TDG is how it is because it's TDG - that's how I see it anyway. Greg may choose to differ, but I can't see any reason to copy another site.

Regards, Kathrinn

Good points, but it would also make it difficult to just browse the news briefs - a typical day would take up 2 pages. Add to that the extra work involved for the admin in 20+ submissions...

Kind regards,
Greg
