Stephen E. Braude is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy and former Chair of the Department at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He studied Philosophy and English at Oberlin College and the University of London, and in 1971 he received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Professor Braude is past President of the Parapsychological Association and the recipient of several grants and fellowships. He has published more than 50 philosophical essays, and written 11 books, including 'The Gold Leaf Lady and Other Parapsychological Investigations', a memoir detailing some of Professor Braude’s own encounters with the paranormal.
