Today’s Dose of Wonder: The Transfixing Beauty of an Auroral Substorm

Fullscreen the hell out of this transfixing real-time video of an auroral substorm causing rivers of light to flow across the sky above Yellowknife in Canada. Definitely on my bucket list – absolutely beautiful.

[ie t’me the aurora looks like ‘im in profile with a little ‘tache an’ quiff leanin’ forward as if t’give one o’ the teepees a closer peek]

I love these heart rending audio visual orgies you seem t’have a knack o’ diggin’ out Greg but sadly t’day it won’t play.

I press play an’ the timer’s red band immediately fills up then goes straight t’*More from kwon, o chul*. I drag it part way or all the way back? Ditto.

    I go over t’Vimeo? Ditto.

…prob’ly jus’ me an’ the bleedin’ pc tho’ [we seem t’be havin’ all manner o’ media/communications based chaos almost as if unseen electromagnetic fingers o’ some kind’re rootin’ round in our electronic smalls.

Ah well the screenshot was good.

    1. vimeo fail
I have not been able to play any videos hosted on Vimeo for at least a year, since I upgraded my computer. I probably need to install a missing plugin or flip a support parameter somewhere, but I haven’t found it yet. (I also cannot view those short clips called Vines, but I don’t think I’m missing much by that.)
