    The word “loosely” is an understatement. 😉

    I loved the original as a kid, and even though its FX are laughable today, it’s good fun. The ‘remake’ strikes me as a little too 300 (testosterone-heavy), and I’m not a fan of the heavy metal music. After Harry Hamlin, Perseus with a shaved head just doesn’t seem right either.

    But they’ve kept the giant scorpion scene (what’s with the evil looking Persian mystics though?), and seeing Pegasus circling the Kraken brings back fond memories of the original (if only Ray Harryhausen got to work with CGI!). I’ll definitely see it, with a big bucket of popcorn (which I don’t eat, but just to make a point).

    Will Bubo make an appearance?

    Because Metal is the most appropriate music to express “F*#ck the gods!“.

    I still remember the old one. A lot of CGI fancy stuff is not enough to replace the magic of Harryhausen —something even someone like Peter Jackson learned the hard way with his King Kong.

    So far, this trailer has nothing but a ‘Meh’ from my part. So far.
