A Real Indiana Jones

I’ve posted an interview with Dr Sean Kingsley to the Daily Grail features section, which I’m sure most of you will find interesting. Sean is an archaeologist specialising in the Holy Land and also marine archaeology (including shipwrecks), and over the past few years has been on a quest, in search of the legendary treasure of the Jerusalem Temple (in terms of recent news items of note, he also helped negotiate the rights to the recent treasure haul from the waters off Gibraltar).

Sean has written of his adventure, and the historical background to why he thinks the treasure still exists, in his book God’s Gold US and UK). Certainly worth checking out if you enjoy historical mysteries ala Graham Hancock’s The Sign and the Seal. Many thanks to Sean for taking time out of his schedule to talk to TDG.

  1. A simple hat comparison
The real issue here is who looks better in the appropriate Indiana Jones style Hat.

I believe that the Great Zahiamunraseti is slightly ahead on points in this contest. Some judges have also commented that the wearing of the pants slightly higher on the waist also has the “Direct desecendant of the Gods” further ahead in the contest.

Inside sources have leaked that having his own “Tonto” has proved the difference between the two contestants. Even though Indiana Jones does not technically have an official offsider, the addition of a permanent shadow in Mark Lehner as a loyal “Tonto” provided the winning combination.

One observer was overheard saying, “that is such a close shadow one could wonder whether it was the headless horseman!” Many onlookers were puzzled by this comment.

We must also consider that Zahi is not allowed to carry a whip or a gun, due to the much stricter weapons regulations as we have them these days. So this makes it more difficult for Zahi, compared to Indiana Jones, to score easy style points.
