A few things to keep you busy over the weekend…
- This week’s eSkeptic newsletter asks, “Can Intelligent Design be considered scientific in the same way that SETI is?“. Seems to be a little curious alliance between SETI and the skeptics at the moment – I noticed over at the SETI radio page that CSICOP is ‘partnering’ them (and it shows in the program listings…check out the guests and topics, talk about being a mouthpiece).
- Blair tells you all about the upcoming TOOL album. If you believe that, you’ve never read one of his newsletters…
- ‘The Guardian’ has once again interviewed Dr Zahi Hawass on topics including Tut, the Rosetta Stone, and that door thingy in the Great Pyramid (a “third door”, Dr Hawass?).
- Loren Coleman discusses the recent Illinois Bigfoot story on Cryptomundo.
- The Psychedelic Salon has Part 2 of Terence McKenna’s lecture “In the Valley of Novelty” (mp3/podcast).
- The Archaeology Channel has free video of Secrets of the Lost Canyon.
- Patrick Huyghe goes “Seeking D. Scott Rogo” for Phenomena Magazine.
- SurvivalAfterDeath.org this week reproduces a 2003 article from the Journal of Parapsychology: “ Reflections on Being a Parapsychologist“, by Carlos S. Alvarado Ph.D.
Enjoy!
