Commencing 45th plea to stop the Planet of the Apes, I wanna get off!

Quote of the Day:

A freedom that takes life away is not freedom. A life that takes freedom away is not life.

Ramón Sampedro

  1. Americans remain a strangely ignorant lot, these PEW researchers list 4 beliefs they consider New Age non of them are, infact all 4 are well embedded in human beliefs, fact is all 4 are older then Christianity which is why so many Christians belief in these. And these guys get paid to deliver this kind of dross (PHEW). The only thing i got out of it is that self professed atheists don’t believe in anything-how very sad and very wrong.
So why use the new age label, the only new age belief i can come up with is that if you’re going to San Francisco to wear flowers in your hair, but that’s no longer valid these days neither is all you need is love.

    1. IMO the label ‘New Age’ is not only used as a derogatory term, as you rightly point out, but also to highlight the beliefs that are not regulated by an established institution. That to me is the reason why all established religions see the so-called New Age movement as such a threat.

Of course, the irony in all of this is that very often those in the ‘New Age’ movement end up in the trap of trying to create new establishments of authority, but now instead of a Pope or a priest, it is in the form of a ‘guru’ or a ‘teacher’.

      1. Hello Red Pill what you point out are cults and these are as old as humanity and these have been aggressively pursued by the Catholics(earlier) and Muslims (still). Cults thrive on ignorance hence the US has been a hotbed ever since it was established. Without any proof i reckon these days the average American is about as informed as the average African only they are catching up whilst my impression of Americans is they are getting stupider by the minute, point in case that half wit president they chose. (and probably re-elect). It would be laughable were it not for their insane weapons arsenal.

  2. If you think Graham Hancock has had a tough time pulling archaeologists heads out of the sand where they been stuck for a 100 years, there’s more sciences with the same kind of problems, at least Graham is winning hearts and minds and he might even get a doctorate before he dies..
One of these well established wasters of money are the (astro)physicists their theories have got them stuck in a hole they can’t get out of without the use of ever more ridiculous theories. Dark matter doesn’t exist ! Black holes are a metaphor for regions where light and matter gets transformed, it’s the place where gravity finally over takes the force that shapes our universe..electricity. Yes the universe is electric and it’s out there for all to see but for reasons hard to comprehend for non insiders these (astro)physicists seem to be in denial to believe what they see.
