Do you see?

Quote of the Day:

A way of seeing is also a way of not seeing.

Kenneth Burke

  1. mean kids
This study is bullshit. This sounds like the study that said children who eat more fried chicken from the bone are more aggressive. I wonder which group that study was thinking about? Kids who don’t want to give away their stickers aren’t “mean” we have a natural instinct to covet something we have and protect it from others, no different when a dog caches his bone. Kids aren’t mean because of religion alone as this study would make you believe, it’s because of shit parenting and environment. I grew up in a religious household and had to go to Sunday school. Guess what? I’m not a dick nor have I ever been, but I remember being bullied a lot by kids who later in life became atheist. Obvious atheist study is obvious.

Edit: I just read through it again, it seems like this study’s original intentions was to make all Muslims look bad. Then you find out it was funded by the Templeton Foundation (one of Dawkins faves) and no wonder. The man who believes all Muslims are evil and need to be wiped off the face of the Earth.

While I have my own issues with the ‘conclusions’ being bandied about from this study, Templeton is *not* a Dawkins fave – in fact the opposite. Dawkins has repeatedly criticised the TF, as he thinks (with others) that it gives money to scientists on the ‘condition’ that they provide some support for religion through their results.

  2. Lenticular clouds
Have seen quite a few of these over the past few days here in Montana, also watched some form and break apart leaving just a dark small smudge like saucer shape…also an anvil shaped and rubber ducky looking one too during their transitions….it was “Wonderful” 🙂 Oh! and one huge ass Mother ship one too 😛 But Sadly I have no Camera 🙁
