Remember: The enemy’s gate is down.

Thanks, Bosko.

Quote of the Day:

“I think that most of us, anyway, read these stories that we know are not “true” because we’re hungry for another kind of truth: the mythic truth about human nature in general, the particular truth about those life-communities that define our own identity, and the most specific truth of all: our own self-story. Fiction, because it is not about someone who lived in the real world, always has the possibility of being about oneself. ”

~Orson Scott Card

  1. old clam
I believe there are more than one “oldest” animals down there though, we just haven’t brought them up yet. It didn’t die because it was frozen, as soon as you ripped it off the sea floor and brought it up to the surface it got the benz, essentially, and the organ inside the shell would have been damaged. Quahogs seem to becoming rarer though. When I was a kid I used to find tons of them alive on the beach and now I rarely see any. The few I do see are small.

      1. frogs
actually i saw something similar when i was in grade school. during recess my friends and i liked to dig in the loose sand of this huge hill near the basketball courts. one day we revealed a frog that had be trying to hibernate from the cold. As soon as it came to it jumped away across the hill. I imagine that’s what happened here, somehow.

it might be illegal in CA too, unless he filled out tons of paperwork. California has a lot of strict laws when it comes to animals.
