News to experience.

Quote of the Day:

Nothing ever becomes real till it is experienced.

  1. Star People
Sixkiller’s book is great. I have been exchanging emails with her a bit, and she is currently working on a book of Star People encounters among the indigenous peoples of central and south America. She also has a cache of Sasquatch stories from the central and south Americas.

    1. Innovation
I have always wondered if the real value of lucid dreaming and for that matter daydreaming comes from giving us a space in which we can abandon our entrenched personality with all of its biases and “muscle memory” and habits both offensive and defensive. It is an orientation that allows us to “forget ourselves” and forget the defenses we all erect in order not to be embarrassed or mocked or made a fool of. This stuff is always hovering just below the surface in most of us – it is an insecurity that prevents us using our minds to their fullest and free-est capacity. We constantly censor our thoughts through a filter that is all about our self esteem and pride and honor in the world. In the dream and daydream state that stuff recedes.

      1. Superego
It’s that pesky Superego, em! It’s why lucid dreaming is such a powerful tool for therapy, creativity, and innovation. All bets are off in the dream state. I read about a doctor who had an injury to the part of her brain that involves the superego; she said it was the lightest and most creative she had felt in her entire life, everything was like a dream. I’ll post more about her experience in detail, it was briefly mentioned in a book I recently read.

      1. Sasquatching
What’s interesting is that Ardy didn’t hear many stories of Bigfoot in North America. A few skinwalkers, but barely any of the big hairy guy. There’s something about Mexico, amigo. 😉
