Enjoy.

Thanks Kat & Greg.

Quote of the Day:

My relationships with my cats has saved me from a deadly, pervasive ignorance.

  1. Antikythera
I’m absolutely gobsmacked that this new expedition is the first time anyone since Jacques Cousteau in 1976 will explore the discovery site of the Antikythera mechanism. And Cousteau’s was the first diving expedition since the mechanism was discovered by local sponge divers in 1900! It’s like Egyptologists finding a ‘door’ with copper handles in a shaft of the Great Pyramid, and not bothering to look any further…

    1. Animated Indy
Yeah, there’s a propensity for American animation to be dumbed down. I don’t know what it is about the medium that makes producers think it has to be for little kids. Japanese animators have shown you can make smart, adult cartoons. There are adult cartoons for Wolverine and Batman as well, that have been quite successful. The trick is, if an Indy animated series is made, the makers have to approach it as if they’re making another Indiana Jones live action film, not a cartoon. All four Indy films are PG-13, anyway — apart from melting heads and hearts being ripped out, it’s good clean adventure fun!

And Harrison *has* to voice Indy.
