  1. Evangelicals question Adam & Eve
I was under the impression that a basic tenet of evangelical Christianity was the absolute truth of God’s Word as presented in the Holy Bible. So, if you question the existence of Adam and Eve, are you still an ‘evangelical’ Christian? Not only that, but that leaves open the possiblity of human evolution, doesn’t it? What does THAT do to one’s ‘evangelical’ status? Does it suddenly make you a Methodist or something? What’s more, if the Adam and Eve story isn’t true, what happens to the ‘everything in The Bible is God’s Truth’ claim? Is it suddenly ALL open to question? I’m confused here….

      RevDave,

did you hear aboot the true story of a split-brain patient where one hemisphere believed in G_d and the other didn’t? That oughta befuzzle the theologians :3

Also, I wonder how much of ‘what really IS representative of a group’ is really just us believing in what the media or some authority says it is?

Like what I’ve found by going around to, say, various Christian denominations and finding out the differences in beliefs between them, even within the same congregation.

      1. i feel like earth hates us
i was stopped at a traffic light and my car stated rocking back and forth like someone was outside pushing on it. I thought the person behind me hit me, but then it stopped. My aunt was on the beach at the time, she said the sand started vibrating like a massage chair and you couldn’t stand. it is weird to have earthquakes that strong on our coast, usually they don’t go far beyond 2.0. during the hurricane a few days ago, another one hit upstate NY about 2.8.
