Long time reader, first time commenter…

Might need a small disclaimer on the story about the “Unusually quiet sun…”…quite graphic add showing dead children in their side banner…

Keep up the good work TDG! I love to skim these stories when I need a break at work.

  2. Hitler’s ‘Satanic cult’
While there’s ample evidence of the existence of a Thule society, of which Hitler and several key Nazi founders were members at one point, the existence of the Vril society is still unconfirmed.

What’s funny about it was that after the Nazis took power in Germany, they arrested the founder of the Thule society—Rudolf von Sebottendorff—but he managed to escape to Turkey. Apparently, the dude had written a book claiming authorship for many of the Nazi’s ideas (including the use of the Swastica symbol): “Bevor Hitler kam: Urkundlich aus der Frühzeit der Nationalsozialistischen Bewegung” (Before Hitler Came: Documents from the Early Days of the National Socialist Movement; and it seems Adolf & his gang couldn’t stand Rudolf’s stealing of their thunder.

To me, the more occult-obsessed of the bunch was not really Hitler, but Himmler. He was the one that intended to create a new pan-germanic religion that would supplant Christianity; all SS officials were obliged to learn rune divination and other things, although I doubt many were really interested in such things.
