News Briefs 25-06-2008

They’re here.

Many thanks to Greg and Kat.

Quote of the Day:

We don’t know a millionth of one percent about anything.

Thomas Edison.

    1. Well, I’m confused!
First it was said the UFO was saucer-shaped and it “attacked” the police helicopter, which then chased the UFO until they ran out of gas.

Now they say there was no chase, and we see in the video the object to be more like a vertical tube of light.

And those newliweds claiming they are the ones behind this frenzy. I ask you: Does that look like a chinese lantern to you? Can the wind move a balloon so quickly? The videos taken last year showed slow-moving objects, but this “light” seems to be moving in a rather high speed against the relative movement of the helicopter.

I don’t know which is scarier: that unexplained objects behave in hostile ways towards human vessels, or that the police authorities in one of the most important cities in the wold—a city that has suffered from terrorists attacks and spent so much money and resources to “ensure” the safety of their citizens, if not their privacy— can get duped by a simple paper balloon! Britan, take your pick.

I have to say it looks like a Chinese Lantern to me. The speed seems to be an illusion due to the relative movement of the helicopter (combined with camera zoom). And in the night shot, the closest image seems to show the typical cylinder structure with light(candle) glowing at the bottom.

        Kind regards,
        Greg

        1. Ok
It is cylindrical, no saucer here as the initial report had claimed; but I’m still not sure about the speed thing. The object seems to make a zig-zag movement in some part of the video that’s peculiar.

          1. Just the camera I think

I think that’s just the camera movement, “reacquiring” the target. The night footage has the money shot I think – clearly a cylinder, with a glowing light in the bottom of it.

            Kind regards,
            Greg

        2. Swamp gas
How far away was the wedding where the newlyweds say they released glow lanterns into the sky? It’s also worth noting that two hours before the helicopter encounter, and only 80 miles away, soldiers filmed 13 UFOs above their barracks.

Anyone got a map of England and meteorological report of wind patterns that night?

  1. UFOs over Mexico city
Sorry RPJ, I forgot to tell you friends of mine are coming to visit.
It’s coo… however could you please ask your friends to stop poking my butt in the middle of the night? they keep interrupting my beauty rest 😉

PS: Not one word of these events in the mexican press. We’re too busy fighting about the oil reform, and about police douchebags that make raids on dance clubs and end up killing teenagers 🙁
