News Briefs 21-07-2006

There are a couple of bright spots, but on some fronts, especially human behavior and the environment, the news is quite grim. Any errors in today’s post are most likely due to smog. Who knows – maybe it accounts for my pessimism as well. You can sign-in for WashPost articles with dailygrail@aol.com, pw: article.

Quote of the Day:

More than an end to war, we want an end to the beginning of all wars — yes, an end to this brutal, inhuman and thoroughly impractical method of settling the differences between governments.

  1. Holy Moley!
Kat, it has taken me half an hour just to scroll down the news list to see what is there.
How long do you think it will take me to get through it all?

I think without reading anything that ‘draining men’s brains’ is going to be my favourite item.

Thanks for all the hard work. Now I had better feed the animals so I can spend some time reading it all.

  2. Thanks, Kat
Have been away from home for a few days. Think I’ve just about caught up with things now, but your wonderful list of news items will have to wait for the weekend. It’s something to look forward to, anyway!

    Regards, Kathrinn

  3. Carved stone
That carved stone is exquisite.Isn’t it funny how someone could call that a natural formation.
I wish I found stuff like that.

I was right about men’s brains draining out while they sleep.
    Good story.

I think people in most countries migrating to the coast is part of the whole Gaia thing where it is going to wreak its revenge on humanity.
Lure us to the coast and then destroy us.
    Serves us right.
I’ll be the first to go.

Still havven’t finished the news and then have the Weekend Wroundup to go.I looove the Wroundups.
