It is a dangerous business going out of your front door

  1. Arctic seed vault
The Arctic seed vault is fantastic.Iraq used to have one which is just as well since they have lost so many variations of seed since the pre-emptive war began against them.
I think I remember hearing that scientists were trying to save DNA of some animals as well.

  2. collective trauma
I don’t want to talk about this, it’s a difficult subject for me, only that the synchronicity of the events at present in which me, my family and the individuals who make up the middle region of this state that I live in here in the USA si going to hell in a hand basket. Right now, I am shaking so hard I cannot type well, therefore please excuse mistakes.
This morning my son’s girlfriend/significant other had to use deadly force in order to scare away three drug addicts. Thieves attempting to get away with murder. Then, as my husband is relating this awful episode that has shaken him, my son and their employees to the core ther is a news flash. Two elderly women have been attacked, in broad daylight, in front of a restaurant they were walking to for lunch. Again, as in the aforementioned case with my soon to be daughter-in-law these were young men, in a tandem act of brutal aggression.
During the post Katrina mass move of citizens to middle La, Ms, Tx and other points north, we got the bulk of citizins who were A. escaped and/or voluntarily released individuals who were incarcerated. B. Families and individuals who were wholly and totally reliant upon government asistance, and/or for medical care.
I reported earlier this week that the mayor had requested that this area be deemed A STATE OF EMERGENCY. That we needed troops to help resist the wanton wave of murder, rape, robbery, vandalism, and on and on, you name it they are doing it …
I can’t go to sleep my nerves are shot, my husband has had one major temper tantrum after another as he is feeling so much frustration, not to mention that I beleve he was in fear for the young lady I mentioned. There seems to be no abating this crime problem, the news stated toninght that the death toll since Jan 1, 2006 is now at 52 for a city our size that is awful. Next we have the new law which will soon go into effect, it is called The Gunslinger Amendment. There any property owner my shoot first, wheter they are inside or outside their home, in their car or out, and if going to or from work. Pretty much covers anytime for many people. I am in fear at the moment, I am shaken, but not broken, no one was hurt, no one was killed in our little family, but today, it just came too damn close.
    Love, Pam
tehn I just get this in my e mail
You must focus on the routines of the day, although you’ll be sorely tempted to jump onto the next distracting thought that runs across your mind. You are itching to escape from what is right in front of you, not that you don’t like what you already have. It’s just that the call of the wild is so enticing. Stay where you are for now and postpone your next adventure for a while.
then the next e mail is for The Way of the Maori Warrior – metaphysical and quantum thought to overcome the fear of failure.

I hear ya universe, tellin me something I already know, put on the war paint and face the fearsome buggers down! I laugh and cry simultaneously! Qualla Tellico home
    .Nancy Ward Grave Site

Nancy Ward, the famed Beloved Woman of Chota, rests in a small hilltop cemetery overlooking the Ocoee River, where U.S. Highway 411 crosses near the ancient ford of the Warrior’s Path and the old Federal Road. Ward, an important councillor and diplomat for the Cherokee Nation, spent her last days at a nearby inn within sight of this cemetery. During her long life (ca. 1738 – 1822), Ward witnessed profound changes in Cherokee culture, and was herself both innovator and conservator of Cherokee tradition. Oral tradition indicates that Nancy Ward was born in the Overhill settlement of Chota around 1738, a niece of the ascendant leader Attakullakulla. She married Kingfisher (Tsula) around 1752, and bore two children before Kingfisher was killed in the 1755 battle of Taliwa against the Creeks. She was with Kingfisher when he fell, and picked up his gun to continue the fight until the Cherokees had won a decisive victory. For her courage and tenacity, she was awarded the title of “War-Woman,” a distinction that gave her an influential voice in the Chota council.

Atta kulla kulla was my great great great great great grandfather. It is by the words of our forefathers that we will learn. He advocated peace, Sequoyah, advocated peace, invented a letter system for our people, and is remembered through the redwood trees in California, look at those trees, shallow roots, yet the largest trees on earth, humanity … we must be together, or we fall together. —————————–Truth is stranger than fiction.
