News Briefs 09-06-2006

Blogeto, ergo sum… **hum, hum, hum** Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday to Kathryn, happy birthday to me. Alas, I feel like Harry Potter, drawing candles in the dust. But if Hagrid, or practically anybody else, were to show up at my door today, and properly install my 2 window air conditioners, I’d be tickled pink, even if they’ve sat on my cake. And now, without further ado, on to my first birthday present of the day: a cornucopia of wild and woolly news.

Thanks to Greg – for the morale support. 😉

Quote of the Day:

Hey, do you know why they call it ‘PMS’ ?

Because ‘Mad Cow’ was already taken.

(You’re darn right I’d raise hell if one of the guys had posted it! hehe)

  1. Happy Birthday, KAT
Happiest of Birthdays to you and many happy returns of the day. Thanks so much for all you do. We love the guys of course, but I really love it when it’s your turn to post. You hunt and dig like I would myself for the tastiest news except now I don’t have to…I just read your post. Thanks so much!

    1. Richard, with all the hot air blowing around here,
I think Kat will have no problem getting the candles blown out! May you have a wonderful birthday Kat! Congratulations for making it through another year! Many thanks for helping to bring the news to us … YEA! Love & Hugs, Pam —————————–Truth is stranger than fiction.

Hope you haven’t reached “Mental Pause” yet, it’s a pain…so not too many candles to blow out…no setting fire to the room!

  3. Happy Birthday sweet Kat!
And I suppose you will do the usual, the cat enema, before you enjoy yourself.
You are such an important part of the TDG family that I don’t know what we would do without you.
When you are blowing out your 21 candles make a nice wish for yourself, and I hope it comes true.

  5. Thanks to everybody
Thanks to everybody for all the birthday greetings. It was a fun day.

I realize I have an odd sense of humor, but didn’t anyone fall for my 5th dimensional black hole? I thought for sure that, at least, shadows would get the probe part of the joke. 😉

Oh, well, in the future I’ll try to make them juicier.

  6. Orgasm or Organism?
I need new glasses (ha) here is the headline from Kat’s first news link …
Organisms ancient but they sure could rock
I read it the other way. LOL Love, Pam (ancient organism)

      1. When I lived in the country….
….I had a neighbour who bought vitamins and such by mail. She knew I was after some acidopholus powder so she rang me and told me that the vitamin firm was selling bottles of acidopholus tablets.
She read to me from the bottle, that each tablet promised 3 million ‘orgasms’ per tablet.
Then she found another one that promised 3 billion ‘orgasms’ per tablet.
I nearly suffocated myself trying not to laugh because she was not the sort of person who would have thought it funny.
So now whenever my daughter-in-law buys acidopholus she goes off home talking about all the ‘orgasms’ she got for her money.

        1. Hope she enjoyed them!
My daughter when interviewing a prospective client one day commented to her that she seemed to have a nasty cold.

“Yes,” the lady replied, “but I’ve just bought a bottle of those Euthanasia tablets so I should feel better soon.” (For those who may not know – she meant Echinacea).

We’re still wondering if she recovered or not!

          Regards, Kathrinn.
