Quote of the Day:

He who wonders discovers that this in itself is wonder.

M.C.Escher

  1. 9/11 grassy knoll
I really don’t understand why so many people obsess over who was behind 9/11 because the bottom line is that no one will ever be able to prove any theory. The evidence is long gone. So I can only suppose the main goal of the conspiracy theorists is to convince people that they’re right. But supposing they do – then what? What do they expect – or hope – will happen then?

    1. Obsession over 9/11
I thought long and hard before I responded to this Kat.

First let me say I have a great deal of respect for all the work you put in to TDG, Thank You.

      Now to the Obsession.

I think (and I will try not to get too impassioned here) that when one’s home is attacked by some seemingly mindless crazy bunch of lunatics bent on destroying for the sake of destroying, that the people being attack get a little edgy. Also it is a bit annoying to have a World hating you and everything you stand for and yet wanting all the toys and goodies that you think up and produce…Did we tell them they had to buy our toys???

If you worked 8-12 hours a day, 40-80 hours a week building something and someone came and set fire to it and destroyed it in a matter of moments, what would your response be?

I must say most of the Americans I work with work damn hard for their “Play Time”. The average work week for a “Custody Officers” is 60 hours a week. The American “News Media” is so full of Hollywood and it pushes a socialist bias. It’s no Wonder that they have no idea what the real America People think and this is why the “NEWS Media” is “Shocked” at how our elections turn out. Believe it or not the “News Media” barely get our weather right!
I am grateful for this site and the world it has opened to me…

      Thanks again

      1. Obsessing over 9/11
        Hi Ramchild7,

I’m not sure I understand your comment, but from what I think you’ve said, apparently my comment wasn’t very clear. In order to more clearly explain what I was on about, we’ll first need a few quotes from the article…

Yet, as with so many such events, there is the sanctioned history and the secret history — players hidden from view. …

‘Just your average wild-eyed, foaming-at-the-mouth conspiracy nuts,’ Father Frank Morales told me as he surveyed the 200 or so graying beatniks and neighborhood anarchist punks sporting IS IT FASCISM YET? buttons who had assembled in the basement of St. Mark’s Church for the weekly Sunday-night meeting of the New York 9/11 Truth Movement to hear a lecture by Webster Tarpley, author of 9/11 Synthetic Terror: Made in USA.

Saying he was in New York ‘to debunk the outrageous myth – the absurd fairy tale’ that the tragic events of September 11, 2001, were the work of nineteen fanatics with box cutters sent by a bearded man in a cave, the 60-year-old Tarpley projected a slide designated ‘State-Sponsored False Flag Terrorism,’ depicting a Venn diagram of three interconnected circles.

Circle one was labeled patsies, comprising ‘dupes,’ ‘useful idiots,’ ‘fanatics,’ ‘provocateurs,’ and ‘Oswalds.’ Included here were the demonized bin Laden and alleged lead hijacker Mohammad Atta. The second ring, marked MOLES, contained ‘government officials loyal to the invisible government,’ such as Paul Wolfowitz, Tony Blair, Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, and, of course, George W. Bush. The third circle, PROFESSIONAL KILLERS, encompassed ‘technicians,’ ‘CIA special forces,’ ‘old boys’ — the unnamed ones who did the dirty work and kept their mouths shut.

After the above quote, the article goes on to explain Tarpley’s conspiracy theory of who was really responsible for 9/11, including his ‘evidence’ regarding why the official story doesn’t add up. Beginning with the usual questions, Tarpley asks…

How, if no steel-frame building had ever collapsed from fire, did three such edifices fall that day, including 7 World Trade Center, which was not hit by any airplane?

And why, if hydrocarbon-fueled fire maxes out at 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit and steel melts at 2,700 degrees, did the towers weaken sufficiently to fall in such a short time—only 56 minutes in the case of the South Tower?

After asking several other questions of this sort, the article says Tarpley asks ‘the classic conspiratorial query’: Who benefits? Tarpley gives what the article calls ‘a slam dunk answer’:

September 11 was a holocaust-as-ordered by the neocon cabal Project for the New American Century, which, like its Svengali, Leo Strauss, recognized the U.S. masses to be meth-addled, postliterate, post-logical lard-asses, a race of ‘sheeple’ that would never rise to inherit the mantle of post–Cold War world-dominators without ‘some catastrophic and catalyzing event — like a new Pearl Harbor.’

Appropriately enough, after telling us a bit more of Tarpley’s theory, the article says, ‘Google ‘911 conspiracy’ and the bytes bury you.’

It was this line in the article which motivated me to say, ‘I really don’t understand why so many people obsess over who was behind 9/11 because the bottom line is that no one will ever be able to prove any theory. The evidence is long gone.’

To give you a better idea what I was on about… I used to regularly exchange emails with a friend in France, but for the past two years, my friend has been so totally obsessed with 9/11 conspiracy theories, that all the emails I’ve received over the past two years have talked about nothing but 9/11, and they always end with the question, ‘When are the American people going to wake up?’ Another way of phrasing this question is, will the American people ever come to believe these 9/11 conspiracy theories?

I’ve replied to these emails many times, asking basically the same thing each time: What do you expect – or hope – will happen in the U.S. if and when a majority of the American people do come to believe the conspiracy theories? And I phrase the question this way to emphasize the idea of belief, because no matter how many times I see snazzy ‘flash’ movies on the internet, about the missing plane at the Pentagon, for example, the bottom line is that these kinds of things offer no proof of what happened – or didn’t happen.

Or, let’s suppose, for the sake of argument, that Tarpley is right about the Project for the New American Century being a Straussian neocon cabal that has taken over the U.S., and that they orchestrated 9/11 as a way of beginning an Orwellian war-without-end. If it’s true, do you really think we’ll find some sort of ‘smoking gun’ that proves this? And even if we did find such proof, I have to ask, then what? Because if such a conspiracy actually exists – and if it was behind 9/11 – obviously they’re already powerful enough to have ensured the continuation of such power via a foolproof method of thwarting the democratic processes that might overthrow them — methods such as the gerrymandering of Congressional districts, electronic voting machines with no paper trails, the dumbing down of education, Haliburton’s building of concentration camps, and a certain amount of influence over the news media come to mind. But of course, there’s no proof that any of these things are linked to such a cabal. And even if there were such proof, that just brings us back to, then what?

And I’m seriously asking this ‘then what?’ question. Because if even a few of these obsessed conspiracy theorists are correct, it’s already a fait accompli, and nothing short of the American people winning another revolutionary war – against the might of the U.S. military – would be able to successfully overthrow it.

        Kat

        1. re: obsessing
          Hi Kat

Thank you for the clarification. I agree with you on so many of the points you made. What we need are some hard facts and hard science to get to the bottom of what happened on 11 September 2001. But as you also pointed out the crime scene is no longer available.

As far as Americans coming up with conspiracy theories, there are as many theories as there are different medications on our drug store shelves. So you see, your Friend in France has company; there are like-minded people here.

Your last paragraph: “And I’m seriously asking this ‘then what?’ question. Because if even a few of these obsessed conspiracy theorists are correct, it’s already a fait accompli, and nothing short of the American people winning another revolutionary war – against the might of the U.S. military – would be able to successfully overthrow it.”

If the conspiracy theorist are correct, which conspiracy? This begins to be a circular discussion.

I am not sure if you are familiar with the expression “Pissed to the Nines”. It would be how one could describe Americans after 11 September 2001. I really do not think The People of America want another “War Between the States” or the blood bath that a Revolution would bring. This haunts me. I think most Americans would say “I Love my Country”….” My Government however is another matter. But then that is why I vote”.

Again we need hard science, facts and data regarding 11 September. Will we forget? Not on your life!

If a person is wrapped up in the conspiracies they think are out there, the person will stop moving forward. It is also depressing to focus on conspiracy theories. This nonproductive behavior can cause a downward spiral. I know people who are hospitalized because of their obsession with conspiracy theories.

To be clear there are those Americans who do not think that there is any conspiracy. That bin Laden and co. are all to blame.

Either way Americans are angry. In my first statement I edited out the pros and cons of the conspiracy theories – it is a circular discussion. Talking about the various theories won’t solve them. Hard science and facts that is what is needed here, now I am becoming redundant!

Right now sane Americans are keeping a lid on the angry Americans. All the world sees is our News Media and that is (our News Media) out of control (hence my last posting) and gives miss information regarding “most Americans”. So I am sure the world is not seeing what real Americans are up against these days.

Here are a few types of angry Americans:

          1. bin Laden and co. are all to blame
          2. Whiners. (“The Government is not taking care of me”)
          3. The Government is too big
          4. CFR/Bush/Bankers/Kennedy/etc. caused 11 September
          5. The world hates us so we’ll hate them back
          6. The world should love us we save their collective butts every week

Now we, Americans, need a Government to govern the things we hold in common but not our lives. Whether bin Laden, our government or a combination of other factions caused 11 September 2001, done is done. We the People have to deal with the consequences. We move forward.

I am new at posting information and ideas in this format. I like to keep it short but I think that I left out critical information in the first posting. I most likely left something out this time but I am sure there has to be a limited space here…

          Thanks

          Sami
A brain on drugs is a terrible thing to waste

    2. Nothing I guess
No more than was done with lies that led to wars.

No more than was done with any other lies either.

The electorate is a little like a woman.

They say that one must know how to talk to a woman. Likewise, a politician needs to know how to talk to their electorate.

In both cases it adds up to knowing which lie to tell, to say what people want to hear so that their insecurity can be quelched.

Yet, a young black man that would murder a pretty white woman would certainly suffer some kind of consequences in the state.

It is funny in a sense that so many people wonder why the world does not wake up before it is too late but then would readily admit that a crime of such a scale could not be answered to.

Could it be that the purpose of the US constitution was pointless besides giving that great country’s citizens a falsse sense of security? A comfortable bubble shielded from the realities of the rest of the universe?

P.S.: Nothing personal intended Kat. To me this is just a principle that describes why it is not possible for humanity to escape its state on its own before that state is set to blow up in its face. We do not really want to change but we sure like talking about it.

      1. talking points
        >>They say that one must know how to talk to a woman.

Is that soooo??? **yuk, gag me with a spoon**

        >>Nothing personal intended Kat.

Should I take it that this an example of how one must talk to a woman – so that their insecurity can be appropriately quelched? If so, it’s a bit too condescending for my taste — although I oh-so-sincerely appreciate your effort not to offend me. haha

If you’ll kindly read my expanded/clarified comment above, I think you’ll find that we’re basically in agreement. So of course, you needn’t have worried about stepping on my delicately feminine toes. 😉

(Now if only I could remember where I put that bottle of nail polish…)

        Kat

        1. Nice jest Kat 😉
No Kat, I was not pointing at your feminine sensitivity. This was of course a generalization.

Your clarification above is as astute and neutral as can be.

If I apologize in advance on occasions it is because I am well aware of how such topics can bring about a rain of emotions that can quickly turn into flames.

It was obviously not the case.

    3. Don’t try to understand
      Kat,

Deep down, they want the conspiracies to be true. It’s not just a matter of believing in the conspiracy, but needing the conspiracy. They have a romantic longing to be a revolutionary in an Orwellian future ala 1984, The Matrix, or V For Vendetta. You’ll never hear a single conspiracy theorist say they hope it isn’t true, which is sad really. Perhaps you should rephrase your question to what will they do if the conspiracies aren’t true? I’ve often thought the same in regards to alternative history ala Graham Hancock — what will I do if Hancock’s stuff is bunk? Somehow, I don’t think my reaction will be the same as conspiracy theorists who find their world turned upside down.

At the end of the day, Webster Tarpley and others like him are no different from Osama Bin-Laden or BushCo. Which is kind of ironic. They’ve become the monster in order to defeat the monster.

      Let the flames begin …

      Rick

      1. …But try to know
Could it be that a certain number of these so called theorists are genuinely seeking answers to certain facts that are not questioned by most?

Could it also be that some of these don’t wish it to be true but see the consequences such as those described by Kat?

It should not be a question of believing or not, should it? Should’nt it be instead a question of getting to the bottom of certain startling ‘coincidences’ and ‘violations of the laws of physics’ and actually get someone to finally give answers?

There are so many facts and oddities that intertwine in this whole matter, from Able Danger in the Clinton era passing by the systematic elimination of evidence on 9/11, the manufacturing of intelligence for war and the threat of expaning that ‘perpetual war’ further that ‘debunkers’ have sometimes been coined ‘coincidence theorists’.

I guess the 9/11 matter is not perceived similarly depending on how broad a context one uses to consider it.

No need for flames, no, really 😉

        1. Just get to the bottom…
          >>Should’nt it be instead a question of getting to the bottom of certain startling ‘coincidences’ and ‘violations of the laws of physics’ and actually get someone to finally give answers?

Absolutely, we need to get to the bottom of it! The big question is, How??? How do you propose we get to the bottom of it? What are you gonna do?…

Call your Congressman and demand an inquiry? Ha!

Call on investigative reporters in the mainstream media? Double Ha!

Band together with others to hire some really good forensic investigators? They’ll probably be denied access to whatever evidence remains and/or end up in a mysterious plane crash.

File a FOIA (freedom of information act) form to get all the video recordings from various locations released? Good luck.

I have a friend who has a chunk of the marble flooring that used to pave the foyer of the WTC. It looks like it was cleaned pretty thoroughly before she received it, but who knows – maybe someday we’ll develop a technology that can read whatever ‘subtle vibrations’ were left in it. But even if something like that eventually tells us ‘how’, it still won’t tell us ‘who’.

For an answer to ‘who’, our only option (which I personally find unacceptable) may be to take a page out of ‘their’ book, and torture someone into confessing. But then, a confession, least of all one forced by torture, doesn’t prove anything either.

Yes, the coincidences and inconsistencies are compelling. The problem is how to move forward to the truth about them.

          Kat

          1. Unfortunate but you are onto something
The only thing that could work from what I know of your judiciary at this point are:
            – Grand Jury
            – Break down in the intelligence community rule of ‘Omerta’
            – One could bring about the other.

Of course, popular pressure could bring some of this to happen if it were sufficient. I do believe that those who are staging the enslavement of humanity will one day be judged for their crimes. Most likely not before their actions have created such untenable conditions that our minds will be shaken awake.

Things like this only happen when one has nothing to lose. Now many feel they still have too much to lose to risk creating waves that could severely disrupt the whole system onto which this civilization is based and that can allow greed, fanatism and power mongering to establish the rules. Unfortunately, the fear of losing can only lead to loss.

Otherwise, its like in Orwell’s book ‘1984’.

            >> Do you believe in God?
            >> No.
            >> Then things will never change.
            (As I remember it anyway)

The stage is being set for a full confrontation. When you have this kind of staging, you get caught in the cogs and can only slip forward. This means that the more is done against the people of this world, the direr the consequences for all. Things will backlash the same way that accumulated tensions in the Earth’s crust eventually are released into earthquakes; the more the accumulated tension, the greater the devastation.

I have often wondered in the past if the west considered Nostradamus seriously and would one day act to attempt to prevent the predictions and in the process provoke the unwanted cataclysm.

On the other hand, provoking cataclysms might also be a perceived means of getting control over the following events. One can always believe that if he starts the fight he can benefit from the effect of surprise before the enemy has the time to organize.

I do agree with you though Kat that things won’t easily happen about this. I agree simply because the western mind is programmed against doing anything until the purpose of such events have run its course, no matter how severe the consequences.

    4. then what?
      Then what?

      1. Give yourself the time to swallow the pill: you may stop believing in the official 9/11 story, but this does not mean you have come to terms with it. Seeing and accepting how deep the rabbit hole goes is an awakening process in itself because it means becoming conscious how much illusion rules our selves and the world. Actually most don’t even want to admit there is a rabbit hole. Why offering sight to a blind person if there are scary stuff out there? It’s far easier to remain blind in a world of blind people.
      2. Talk about it! The more we are to know the official story is complete BS, the more it creates a context and pressure for showing up the lies in broad view. This is already happening as more and more public figures are speaking up.
      3. Be careful not to confuse lie and truth. Knowing the official story is a complete lie and knowing who did it, why, and how are two different things. The first is a reasonable statement, the second gets closer to speculation.

Showing up the lies matters more than finding the truth. The 9/11 story has had such a major impact on world affairs and psyche, that any subsequent shock related to it will also have tremendous impact. WWII gave humanity the experience of its cruelty, planting the seeds for a general aversion for war. 9/11 gives humanity the chance to realize that we still have not given ourselves the means to put an end to war, and that if we do, there is no other choice but to reconsider the way we all have given our powers away to our own delusion and lie.

Publicly showing up the lies will certainly lead to investigations for finding the truth. But more important than finding the truth should be the public debate on how to avoid this again. How do we avoid manipulation if we do not change ourselves and the way we accept illusory ideals as guides for our actions? Hopefully this debate should help change the way we do politics and manage our economic life, because both demonstrate signs of total disconnection from reality, they are illusions of their own that manipulate us into becoming mere numbers that act according to one model, that should not think on their own, and who should be labeled as foolish as soon as the predominant way is put into question. Certainly what’s next is finding the art of constantly being able to question the basis of our beliefs and actions, the art of constant revolution, something the French may be good at, who knows. Add to that the adaptability of the American people, and you have a great potential for change.

9/11 is certainly not the thing that matters most in this world. Actually it is even better to focus on building a new world rather than feeding the idea that we are in a crappy world not worth our time and energy. Still, because of the potential for awakening the consciousness of people and how it can motivate them to come out of their lethargy, I’d say showing up the lies is worth our time. What do you do when you realize you’ve been fooled? You may externally do nothing, but internally you swallow the pill and try to understand why you’ve been fooled.

      1. then what?
You’re preaching to the choir. We here at TDG are not politically asleep, regardless of what we may individually believe happened on 9/11. Nor are many of us likely to be among those who were fooled by the propaganda, either before 9/11 or afterwards.

        Kat

  2. Great arguments
    by all the above posters.
Rick, I personally think Graham Hancock has got it right.

About the 9/11 conspiracies.I would absolutely hate for them to be true.
And as much as I hate the Bush mob, I really cannot see how they could have done it.
But then I am in denial about so much stuff in my life, it could just be that.

    shadows

    1. Towers Pulled
My brother is an explosives expert, he worked for the goverment for 20+ years. He says as an explosives expert the towers were pulled/demolished. Added to that World Trade Building 7 was not hit. But it was pulled. How and why was it already set up to be demolished? Plus the pentagon the week before reported that almost 3 Trillion Dollars was missing. 3 Trillion Dollars will buy alot of things.

      1. Push and Pull
3 Trillion Dollars? Muslim extremists aren’t in it for the money. The US made that mistake with the Taliban and Osama Bin-Laden. 😉

If the US was behind the 9/11 attacks, then why couldn’t they fake evidence of WMDs in Iraq? Considering the complexity of a 9/11 conspiracy, burying a box full of documents and digging them up a week later would be a walk in the park. If the US can fake 9/11, then why couldn’t they fake Iraqi WMDs? The answer is simple: the US did not fake 9/11, it happened exactly as reported. The US gets up to all kinds of sneaky evil stuff, but they’re not behind every plot and explosion.

Here’s a brain-twister for the conspiracy nuts. What if there’s a conspiracy to make you think there’s a 9/11 conspiracy? Ponder that one.

        1. A box of documents?
Rico, seriously, they were not supposed to find a box of documents, they were supposed to find WMD in such a quantity that no doubt could remain Saddam was a ‘present and immediate danger’ to the West.

If actual weapons had been planted, their examination would have quickly shown them not to result from Iraqe manufacture or technique.

That would have been an even greater scandal. They most certainly considered the possibility although 9/11 is an event powerful enough in itself to fuel hatred for still quite a long time.

What is being faced here is a vicious circle of increased hatred between the West and Muslims, a little bit the same kind of trap into which the Isreaeli and the Palestinians are caught into.

        2. Because 911 and Iraq are not related!
We have 2 different things here. 911 and Iraq. Don’t put them together because they are apples and oranges. 911 did what it set out to do. Throw away the bill of rights, increase defense spending , and make money for the neo-cons and their friends. It was a event with a built in response. REVENGE, DESTROY! And it has done just that.
And the muslim’s were not the one’s getting 3 trillion dollars. The muslims were the patsy’s.

          1. Where’s the money?
            >>And the muslim’s were not the one’s getting 3 trillion dollars.

I’m posting a couple of articles tomorrow about that missing $3 trillion. Stay tuned.

            Kat

          2. curbed enthusiasm?
            >>*sigh*

Well then, just for you, I’ll try to find a Harry Potter article too. 😉

            Kat

      2. just a thought….
maybe the towers were built with a destuct mechanisism in place in case of invasion???? And it was set off by the planes, this senario was never considered when the mechanisism was intergrated.

        It’s a theory…no…?

    2. Maybe, Bush Didn’t Stop It!
      Shadows

Bush didn’t have to do it! Bush could have just let it happen! To believe that there was a conspiracy of some kind isn’t the same thing as agreeing with the latest conspiracy theory. I don’t think that Bush did it. I think that he didn’t stop it; because, it served his purposes!

      What do you think!

      kennc

  3. Here’s how:
How: we keep posting this type of concern – we never let it die through neglect, we don’t criticize fellow “conspiracy theorists” (read “searchers for truth”) because at least they are doing Something – that Something may well be the Tipping Point leading to the awakening of the masses. We believe that there IS proof – only one element of which is to follow the smoking gun trail of the radioactive metal structural remains that were so quickly removed from site; and, if you value liberty over your life, publish your findings (perhaps in France because US media is controlled). (One has to think Gulliani’s family members lives were threatened for him to be complicit.)

I’m partial to the Coincidence Conspiracy, parts of which include:

That the standing order http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/corres/pdf/d302515_021897/d302515p.pdf which covered the shooting down of hijacked aircraft was altered on June 1, 2001, taking discretion away from field commanders and placing it solely in the hands of the Secretary of Defense, is simply poor planning and unfortunate timing. Fortunately the error has been corrected, as the order was rescinded shortly after 9/11.

That FBI informant Randy Glass, working an undercover sting, was told by Pakistani intelligence operatives that the World Trade Center towers were coming down by means of nuclear devices installed during initial WTC construction, and that his repeated warnings which continued until weeks before the attacks, including the mention of planes used as weapons, were ignored by federal authorities, is simply one of the many “What Ifs” of that tragic day.

That on May 8, 2001, Dick Cheney took upon himself the job of coordinating a response to domestic terror attacks even as he was crafting the administration’s energy policy which bore implications for America’s military, circumventing the established infrastructure and ignoring the recommendations of the Hart-Rudman report, merely shows the VP to be someone who finds it hard to delegate.

It’s true that George HW Bush and Dick Cheney spent the evening of September 10 alone in the Oval Office, but what’s wrong with old colleagues catching up? And it’s true that George HW Bush and Shafig bin Laden, Osama’s brother, spent the morning of September 11 together at a board meeting of the Carlyle Group, but the bin Ladens are a big family.

That FEMA arrived in New York on Sept 10 to prepare for a scheduled biowarfare drill, and had a triage centre ready to go that was larger and better equipped than the one that was lost in the collapse of WTC 7, was a lucky twist of fate.

Newsweek’s report that senior Pentagon officials cancelled flights on Sept 10 for the following day on account of security concerns is only newsworthy because of what happened the following morning.

That George Bush’s telephone logs for September 11 do not exist should surprise no one, given the confusion of the day.

That Afghanistan is once again the world’s principal heroin producer is an unfortunate reality, but to claim the CIA is still actively involved in the narcotics trade is to presume bad faith on the part of the agency.

Mahmood Ahmed, chief of Pakistan’s ISI, must not have authorized an al Qaeda payment of $100,000 to Mohammed Atta days before the attacks, and was not meeting with senior Washington officials over the week of 9/11, because I didn’t read anything about him in the official report.

That Porter Goss met with Ahmed the morning of September 11 in his capacity as Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence has no bearing whatsoever upon his selection by the White House to head the Central Intelligence Agency.

That Goss’s congressional seat encompasses the 9/11 hijackers’ Florida base of operation, including their flight schools, is precisely the kind of meaningless factoid a conspiracy theorist would bring up.

That Mohamed Atta attended the International Officer’s School at Maxwell Air Force Base, that Abdulaziz Alomari attended Brooks Air Force Base Aerospace Medical School, that Saeed Alghamdi attended the Defense Language Institute in Monterey merely shows it is a small world, after all.

That Lt Col Steve Butler, Vice Chancellor for student affairs of the Defense Language Institute during Alghamdi’s terms, was disciplined, removed from his post and threatened with court martial when he wrote “Bush knew of the impending attacks on America. He did nothing to warn the American people because he needed this war on terrorism. What is…contemptible is the President of the United States not telling the American people what he knows for political gain,” is the least that should have happened for such disrespect shown his Commander in Chief.

That 43 lbs of heroin was found on board the Lear Jet owned by Wally Hilliard, the owner of Atta’s flight school, just three weeks after Atta enrolled – the biggest seizure ever in Central Florida – was just bad luck. That Hilliard was not charged shows how specious the claims for conspiracy truly are.

That Hilliard’s plane had made 30-round trips to Venezuela with the same passengers who always paid cash, that the plane had been supplied by a pair of drug smugglers who had also outfitted CIA drug runner Barry Seal, and that 9/11 commissioner Richard ben-Veniste had been Seal’s attorney before Seal’s murder, shows nothing but the lengths to which conspiracists will go to draw sinister conclusions.

Reports of insider trading on 9/11 are false, because the SEC investigated and found only respectable investors who will remain nameless involved, and no terrorists, so the windfall profit-taking was merely, as ever, coincidental.

That heightened security for the World Trade Centre was lifted immediately prior to the attacks illustrates that it always happens when you least expect it.

That Hani Hanjour, the pilot of Flight 77, was so incompetent he could not fly a Cessna in August, but in September managed to fly a 767 at excessive speed into a spiraling, 270-degree descent and a level impact of the first floor of the Pentagon, on the only side that was virtually empty and had been hardened to withstand a terrorist attack, merely demonstrates that people can do almost anything once they set their minds to it.

That none of the flight data recorders were said to be recoverable even though they were located in the tail sections, and that until 9/11, no solid-state recorder in a catastrophic crash had been unrecoverable, shows how there’s a first time for everything.

That Mohammed Atta left a uniform, a will, a Koran, his driver’s license and a “how to fly planes” video in his rental car at the airport means he had other things on his mind.

That multiple military wargames and simulations were underway the morning of 9/11 – one simulating the crash of a plane into a building; another, a live-fly simulation of multiple hijackings – and took many interceptors away from the eastern seaboard and confused field commanders as to which was a real hijacked aircraft and which was a hoax, was a bizarre coincidence, but no less a coincidence.

That the National Military Command Center ops director asked a rookie substitute to stand his watch at 8:30 am on Sept. 11 is nothing more than bad timing.

That a recording made Sept 11 of air traffic controllers’ describing what they had witnessed, was destroyed by an FAA official who crushed it in his hand, cut the tape into little pieces and dropped them in different trash cans around the building, is something no doubt that overzealous official wishes he could undo.

That the FBI knew precisely which Florida flight schools to descend upon hours after the attacks should make every American feel safer knowing their federal agents are on the ball.

That a former flight school executive believes the hijackers were “double agents,” and says about Atta and associates, “Early on I gleaned that these guys had government protection. They were let into this country for a specific purpose,” and was visited by the FBI just four hours after the attacks to intimidate him into silence, proves he’s an unreliable witness, for the simple reason there is no conspiracy.

That Jeb Bush was on board an aircraft that removed flight school records to Washington in the middle of the night on Sept 12th demonstrates how seriously the governor takes the issue of national security.

To insinuate evil motive from the mercy flights of bin Laden family members and Saudi royals after 9/11 shows the sickness of the conspiratorial mindset.

That the tape in which bin Laden claims responsibility for the attacks was released by the State Department after having been found providentially by US forces in Afghanistan, and depicts a fattened Osama with a broader face and a flatter nose, proves Osama, and Osama alone, masterminded 9/11.

That at the battle of Tora Bora, where bin Laden was surrounded on three sides, Special Forces received no order to advance and capture him and were forced to stand and watch as two Russian-made helicopters flew into the area where bin Laden was believed hiding, loaded up passengers and returned to Pakistan, demonstrates how confusing the modern battlefield can be.

That upon returning to Fort Bragg from Tora Bora, the same Special Operations troops who had been stood down from capturing bin Laden, suffered a unusual spree of murder/suicides, is nothing more than a series of senseless tragedies.

Reports that bin Laden is currently receiving periodic dialysis treatment are simply too incredible to be true.

That the White House went on Cipro September 11 shows the foresightedness of America’s emergency response.

That the anthrax was mailed to perceived liberal media and the Democratic leadership demonstrates only the perversity of the terrorist psyche.

That the anthrax attacks appeared to silence opponents of the Patriot Act shows only that appearances can be deceiving.

That the Ames-strain anthrax was found to have originated at Fort Detrick, and was beyond the capability of all but a few labs to refine, underscores the importance of allowing the investigation to continue without the distraction of absurd conspiracy theories

That the White House balked at any inquiry into the events of 9/11, then starved it of funds and stonewalled it, was unfortunate, but since the commission didn’t find for conspiracy it’s all a non issue anyway.

I could go on but I trust you get the point. Which is simply this: there are no secrets, an American government would never accept civilian casualties for geostrategic gain, and conspiracies are for the weak-minded and gullible.

    1. More!… Please!
      >>I could go on…

Yes, please do so – as soon as possible.!

After all, we’re obviously in great need of such deprogramming, and it’s difficult to find such a concentration of deprogramming material in one place. 😉

    2. Anon, you are forc ing me to believe something
      I don’t want to.

For me, the whole thing revolves around the look on Dubya’s face when he was told about the plane hitting the WTC.
It was the look of a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
He was saying,”Shit, they DID it!.Now what do I do?”
I know he isn’t a REAL president, but even he should have been shocked enough to jump up immediately and ask questions of his advisors and he didn’t.
The look on his face implies to me that he knew what was going down and felt that the only thing to do at that time was nothing.
I can’t imagine any other president doing nothing.

Thanks for that post Anon,, I will send it to everyone I know. And when you think about it….what is worse, making the Muslims out to be terrorists or being terrorists yourselves.
And I speak only of those involved, not the American people.
