  1. De Grey- If we all lived forever where would we park?
‘living forever’ sounds pretty nifty! and no doubt it can happen. scientists have proven in labs that animals life spans such as mice can be extended conciderably through genetics. mice genes are quite similar to our our oen so whos to say it’s so far fetched?
So lets all assume that tomorow someone cracks the code and we all have off the shelf immortallity pills easily accesible (although in a nut shell, only the upper upper class would be able to afford such a thing)- thirty years later we would have completly run out of parking spaces, pollution would be well up, the majority of numbers that allready works in factories checkouts unemployed or otherwise minimum wage would have swollen exponentially.
The select few holding most of the ecconomy would have proportionally shrunk meaning even less held the majhority of power and monopoly on ecconomies. Assuming the trend in the USA to not vote and ‘fuck the system’ would continue, then those in power would even more so lack in their representative powers.
The universal raping of our recources is allready a problem we are running out of room and fresh food and water, with population already on the rise and unstoppable i personally don’t think living forever or even extending the human life span would be a smart move.
Well talk about rambling! but after reading the article And thinking about many more i’ve read on TDG (kick ass site!) i just had to put my two cents in.
just to be a bit nerdy i’ll leave this on a reference (not quote) from the first (i think) matrix.
Agent smith (i think is him name) has neo -or morphius i can’t remember- in a chair. he tells him he hates earth and conciders humans a disease, detroying resources and moving on yada yada yada you know the rest, in light of the live forever thingo it’s something to think about.

p.s. yes i know my grama sucks
