I have always loved this little clip. It has about it the sense of something new and momentous beginning in the wider social field. The woman's innocence also made her a very good choice for a test subject.

I also loved the juxtaposition of the sacred 1950's word "normal" with what was very clearly "abnormal" in her experience. "Normal" was the comfort word of the 50's. It is easy to forget how much social pressure there was to behave normally.

It is "Like A Rainbow in the Dark." Even the ugly stains on a floor have a beautiful, shimmering, gold and rainbow vail to them.
