Re: Haunted house real estate values.
I have watched many episodes of The Haunted and also A Haunting that begin with the poor hapless victims saying what a great buy the house had been. They are like, "We couldn't believe what a deal it was." Well, after their initiation into various haunted hells they get great insight in to why it was priced the way it was. Some really nastily infested homes go up for sale again every few months as the buyers in effect get chased out of house and home. I was watching some paranormal show the other day wherein a realtor refused to show a certain home to her clients because the place was so haunted and the turnover so high.
Of course, there are plenty of homes that are benignly and even charmingly haunted, and eventually they are lucky enough to find caretakers who are not frightened off by harmless ghosts. Some of these spirits actually "watch after" the inhabitants. It can be a very good arrangement.

So, explain to me why these psychics are being censured for making unfounded claims when there are all over the telly shows that make similar claims about weight loss pills and the like? No comprendo. This is what we call a double standard.
