Quote of the Day:
I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry, and that's extra scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. Run, he's fuzzy, get out of here.

Along with the different links about skepticism listed above, you guys might read:
Dogmatism in Science and Medicine by Henry H. Bauer
(How Dominant Theories Monopolize Research and Stifle the Search for Truth)
It explained what I've seen my whole life. A deeply disturbing book.

Of course, there is also the possibility that the Oracle really WAS channeling the answers of Apollo, or some other Deity. It's a shame that scientists are so shut off from the world that they can't see anything beyond their own prejudices.
A scientist who refuses belief in any of the Gods isn't worth listening to. He can't possibly have come to any reasonable conclusion(s) if he's willing to eliminate Deity right from the start.
Respects,

...you have to believe in God or "something almighty" if you are dedicating your life to disproving it, whether you know it (or admit it) or not. I like to think the oracle was part of the mysteries and whether it was by use of drugs, huffing too much methane or actual spiritual experience, we should focus on the fact that the high priests and priestesses were able to influence an entire nation, great rulers and so on. whatever it was they had the influence to change the world.

I gotta admit, that blurry Bigfoot quote is funny as hell.
Then again, how many humans do you know who'd be able to focus a camera while trying to photograph a 9-foot-tall furry monster?

Not that blurry and not a guy in a suit either.
