Attttaaaaaaaaccccckkkk!!!

Quote of the Day:

I have come to the point of view that mind – i.e., conscious awareness of the world – is not a meaningless and incidental quirk of nature, but an absolutely fundamental facet of reality.

  1. Prehistoric Sat Nav?
Surprised that this nonsense from Tom Brooks (I suppose an amateur historian can still be described as a historian) has surfaced again in the mainstream media thanks to some uncritical journo. Also surprised at you, Greg for giving this old story such prominence.

You can find three ancient monuments arranged in an isosceles triangle as easily as you can find three in a row. Just draw a line between two, bisect it and head off in a perpendicular direction until you get a hit. Doesn’t mean they were deliberately planned that way, still less that they were used for navigation. I’d like to see Brooks demonstrate his theory, or get lost!

Here‘s what Bad Science had to say about it back in 2010.

      Don’t shoot the messenger. 😉

I was the one who sent Greg the link. I rarely have the time to read every article I link to, let alone fact check it, and I often link to articles I know are bunk or I disagree with. That’s for Grail readers to figure out.

Besides, we all know megalithic stone circles were for human sacrifices and alien landing beacons.

  2. from the Broad-Based-Hips-Dept.
When I read that ‘hipster dude’ mystery, my magpie mind thought of this:

perhaps the hipster dudes are part of what the ‘beings’ ‘inside’ us use to explore our reality.

Then, perhaps, everything we make are further examples of these probes…

    Sounds like a book idea.

    1. My real me is a hipster?

I most definitely DO NOT have a ‘hipster dude‘ inside me! 😛

Oh, the irony of conforming to a fashion trend to be a nonconformist!
