Quote of the Day:

“And crawling, on the planet’s face, some insects, called the human race. Lost in time, and lost in space and meaning…”

The Criminologist, Rocky Horror Picture Show

  1. over-estimate
Wait a sec. The sun’s influence on global climate change, as described the IPCC and their believers, cannot have been an over-estimate. They said there wasn’t any influence.

  2. “Sun’s role in climate change over-estimated”
Over-estimate makes an excellent point. The BBC-approved position on what is now fashionably called “climate change” (which has been demonstrated to the same woefully unpersuasive degree that it was when they called it “global warming”), has always been that the sun is an insignificant factor in what the mad-made-ers say are essentially worldwide rising temperatures. You can’t “disregard” what you’ve never taken into consideration in the first place.

Besides, the BBC has completely squandered any credibility it has in this issue, due to its long an unblemished record of blatant bias and prejudice in the matter. Its knee-jerk responses indicate evidence is meaningless at BBC. Also, the Beeb still refuses to denounce the shockingly widespread fraudulent manipulation of data so as to provide support for claims the planet is warming, degree of ice cap loss, etc. Consequently it has little persuasive ability on this issue, because fewer and fewer listeners/readers believe it wihtout independent verification.

Unfortunately, in the UK the “climate change” question is perhaps even more politicized than in the US, and there is an almost 100% positive correlation between general political stance and views on the global warming, at least among those who are convinced it is greatly affected by humans. That is, it is almost unheard of for a progressive/Liberal/Labor/leftist to question whether the data actually shows unprecedented warming temps. Conversely, it isn’t all that uncommon for conservatives/Libertarians/Tories to admit that there is real reason for concern about rising temps, and that man’s effects must be reversed or limited.

What it means is that the BBC and The Guardian and the other usual suspects are simply in an echo chamber, preaching to each other and changing no one’s views.
