Area 51 building with strange dust ring?
Posted by Olympus at 23:23, 13 Aug 2010I'm on Google Earth at the moment, looking at a building at Area 51 under either deconstruction or construction. But it's not the building I'm looking at, rather the strange circular reminants of something. Most likely dust, but what kind of dust, what would cause this circle of dust? Eitherway it's pretty cool, here's the coordinates
36• 55' 35'' N
116• 0' 25'' W
• = degrees....... I don't know how to do the degrees symbol on my iPhone.

The computer I'm at doesn't have Google Earth. Can anyone try to take a screenshot of the area?

So where is this dust ring, exactly? do I need to move the image left of the arrow, right, up or down?
Anyway, didn't someone wrote on PM some years ago that most of the secret work conducted at Area 51 had been moved to Utah?

Where the green arrow is look slightly to the upper left. It's actually under the building but only half is visible. The building(hangar) is under somekind of construction.

OK. I'm seeing an earthen berm around the hangar complex. This is probably there to deflect wind away from the working area. It looks to be fairly low except in the southeast quarter. There's nothing worse than windblown grit taking down your billion dollar black budget toy. A secondary possibility for the berm is to obstruct lines of sight at ground level, although I suspect the surrounding hills are more effective. The berm would have been a simple bulldozer job, nothing mysterious at all.

You mean the half-circle right in front the winged ceiling hangar?
Looks rather mundane, truth be told.

I think the half circle ring is made by the rotating DOOR of the hangar.
Look closely at the left portion of the hangar, you can see some kind of angled protrusion. I believe that it is a huge rotating/revolving door that right now is shown open in the image.
Very cool and effctive hangar design.
