6 Aprile: Ramayana Ramanavami

In the ninth day of the Waxing Moon of the Caitra’s month, is celebrated the birth of Lord Rama in the feast called Rama-Navami; in this feast are performed public and private reading of Ramayana; the people goes to the Rama’s temples to receive the darsana of his murti and procession with idols of Rama, Sita, Laksmana and Hanumat are organized.
This fest is celebrated with particular solemnity in the Rama’s native town, Ayodhya, where the river Sarayu flows, where they belives are, in the same time, present the waters of all holy rivers of India.

Nel nono giorno di luna crescente del mese di Caitra, si commemora solennemente la nascita di Rama nella festa detta rama-navami; in tale occasione si eseguono letture private e pubbliche del Ramayana; migliaia di persone accorrono ai templi dedicati a questo al Dio per avere il darsana della sua murti splendidamente decorata e si organizzano anche processioni con gli idoli di Rama, Sita, Laksmana e Hanumat. Questa festa, naturalmente, è celebrata con particolare solennità nella città natale di Rama, Ayodhya, dove scorre il fiume Sarayu, dove si crede siano contemporaneamente presenti le acque di tutti i fiumi santi dell'India.
