THAILANDIA: FESTA DI LOY KRATONG
In occasione della Luna Piena del dodicesimo mese lunare, in Novembre, i Thai onorano Mae Kongka ( = Dea delle Acque). Costruiscono dei navigli in miniatura in forma di fiore utilizzando foglie di banano e pongono sopra di esse le offerte: monete, frutta, incenso ed una candela accesa,facendo poi navigare i piccoli navigli sui fiumi e sui laghi.

La sostanza preziosa viene conservata nei granai, che non li renderà mai vuoti, anzi duplicherà il raccolto

LEGGENDA GIAPPONESE
Un anziano viaggiatore, stremato dal faticoso pellegrinaggio, crollò esausto in mezzo a una foresta. Alla scena erano presenti, una scimmia un coniglio, una volpe e un orso, i quali decidono di soccorrerlo andando alla ricerca di cibo da donare al vecchietto. Dopo un po' ritornano tutti quanti con il proprio dono: la volpe porta un grappolo d'uva, la scimmia con della frutta secca, l'orso con il miele, ma il coniglio tornò a mani vuote.
Tristissimo, per non essere riuscito a trovare nulla da donare al povero vecchietto, raccolse alcuni sterpi con cui accendere un piccolo fuoco e ci si gettò dentro donando se stesso. Il pellegrino commosso dall'estremo gesto del coniglio, si rivelò essere un Dio, prese così il coniglietto e lo depositò delicatamente sulla Luna, dove ancora oggi vive.
