  1. Ninja
    Red Pill

Thank-you for the article about Ninjitsu. It was very good! But, let me make two minor clarifications.

1} Technically, Ninja did not hide most of the time; but instead, they blended in to their surroundings.

2} Ninja used the colors that they had or could obtain!

Zak Bagans of the “Ghost Adventures” crew gets attacked by a demon at Bobby Mackey’s Music World. Most any ghost busting crew who really get into the thick of demonic hauntings get attacked like this. It is nearly always 3 claw marks to mock the Holy Trinity, and it always burns like fire. The marks will often be in the small of the back just to show that the wound could not have been self inflicted. The Ghost Adventures crew get attacked in this manner more than most other crews because they are so provoking, but every single crew out there sooner of later gets scratched. Sometimes it is innocent bystanders or clients who get scratched.

      1. Scratches
And the demon scratch got us a bonus view of bro’s butt, too! 😉

You know my stance on these shows. For all I know it was all rehearsed behind camera.

        1. I don’t think you have
I don’t think you have watched enough of them to have any conception whatsoever of the ethics of some of these crews.

Here is another scratch fest I found on Youtube. This episode of Ghost Hunters shows up in rerun once in awhile of the SyFy Channel. I like to link to the Ghost Hunters crew because they are so conservative and sober. Their first instinct is to debunk, and they debunk quite a few alleged hauntings in the process of their investigations. There are some episodes that are frankly boring because the haunting turns out to be non-existent, but that inherent threat to the show’s ratings is not allowed to override their honesty.
When they run into the real thing, it is worthy of one’s attention. After years of watching them I have a very high confidence in their ethics. That cannot be said of all the crews one sees on television though.

      2. Ghost Adventures
Of all the ghost shows, this one is actually my least favorite, not because I think it’s fake or anything such as that, but because they seem to taunt and piss off the spirits. Granted, being there with a film crew would probably piss off the spirits, but I watched a few episodes and sometimes they really seem to goat them on. I know getting scratched, for example, makes great TV, but if you are angering the ghosts that much, I worry for them. Assuming that this isn’t fake, and again I’m not claiming it is because I don’t watch enough of it to make a stance, it just isn’t a good idea to “attack” the spirits like that. Maybe because I stopped watching it they have improved. I just think respecting the spirits of a place gets a more positive and likely result.

you are probably going to think of me as ignorant emlong, or perhaps overly superstitious, but sometimes we should just leave the ghosts alone…

        1. It’s Complicated
“you are probably going to think of me as ignorant emlong, or perhaps overly superstitious, but sometimes we should just leave the ghosts alone..”

It’s as they say “complicated.” There are hauntings through which provocation can facilitate relief for the trapped spirits if only by “bringing them out” to air their grievances The Ghost Adventures crew has matured over time, but it must be remembered that the reason they get such spectacular results at times has to do with the testosteronic and boyish energy they bring to the table. Spirits in search of energy by which they can make themselves heard sometimes appreciate that energy very much, but there are also numerous instances of spirits who do not like this crew at all, and make that known in EVP’s and violent reactions.

Here is an example of the Ghost Adventures crew doing it right and being of help:

Her is an example of the Paranormal State crew getting schooled by a local black historian about respecting the dignity of spirits. The crew was so impressed that they called off night two of the investigation and held a vigil with offerings to the spirits:

    2. Now you see me…
It seems there’s a lot of myths & misconceptions with regards to the Ninja.

What I liked about the article is that they came from more egalitarian communities, as opposed to the feudalism of Samurais.

that’s why Lite Brite got put out of comission — too many customer reports of their artworks trying to stack their kids and light them up with wires…:3

      1. Ninja Were Plain Folk Who Were Good Farmers, Too!
        Red Pill,

Except for some friendships that existed between Ninja and Samurai, there was no relationship between them. Most, if not all, Daimyou(Feudal or Great Lords) had some Ninja serving them; but, all Ninja did not serve Daimyou. Ninja usually served as spies and body guards; however, the Daimyo occasionally used them for other tasks, i.e. infantry in battle. When you served a Daimyo, you did what you were told or you were dead! On occasion, both Ninja and Samurai helped with the cooking.

          1. Live And Learn!
            Red Pill

It would have been something simpler like beating and baking mochi(rice cake) or preparing miso soup with nori/wakame(sea weed/kelp) in it!

          2. The Majority Of Japanese Men Can’t Cook At All!
            Red Pill

Japanese Chiefs are professionally trained. They go to cooking schools and they do many years of apprenticeship. Most Japanese mothers won’t allow their sons to do anything in the kitchen, including boil water! Cooking has been viewed as woman’s work! This attitude has changed, except in traditional households, in the past 10 or 15 years.

Ninja could live off the land; because, they had to live off the land some of the time. But, generally speaking, men during this period of time, especially warriors, neither cooked nor helped with the cooking unless their Daimyo or the Shogun(Commanding General) told them to do it. Male Ninja were very talented compared to other men.

On the other hand, Female Ninja and Female Samurai did a little of everything; because, they could do everything!!!
