News Briefs 04-05-2011

May the 4th be with you.

Thanks Kat.

Quote of the Day:

“An eye for an eye would make the whole world blind.”

Mahatma Gandhi

  1. What did he know anyway??

“An eye for an eye would make the whole world blind.”

Clearly the man wasn’t thinking of the all the potential revenues from walking sticks and trained guide dogs. How selfish.

You’re not seeing the big potential here: the market for eye-poking sticks! We need to set up an R&D department stat, and start developing tools to make eye-poking weapons as efficient and ruthless as possible – we’ll sell them by the bucketload!

  2. Don’t call them pets.
    I support this initiative whole-heartedly.

If we do it now, it might eventually refrain our future synthetic overlords from calling us ‘meatbags’ 😉

    1. We make great pets
♫ We’ll make great pets ♫. C’mon Miguel, sing it with me!

      This makes sense to me:
“Again the word ‘owners’, whilst technically correct in law, harks back to a previous age when animals were regarded as just that: property, machines or things to use without moral constraint.”
“Previous age”? It’s how people perceive animals today!

We’re not apart from the animal kingdom; we’re a part of it. I have more to say, but I need to clean a kitty litter box. Cats don’t have owners, they have staff!
