Quote of the Day:
"The strongest impacts of an emergent technology are always unanticipated. You can’t know what people are going to do until they get their hands on it and start using it on a daily basis, using it to make a buck and using it for criminal purposes and all the different things that people do. The people who invented pagers, for instance, never imagined that they would change the shape of urban drug dealing all over the world. But pagers so completely changed drug dealing that they ultimately resulted in pay phones being removed from cities as part of a strategy to prevent them from becoming illicit drug markets. We’re increasingly aware that our society is driven by these unpredictable uses we find for the products of our imagination."
William Gibson.

I never did see actual evidence of the object passing behind the cathedral. At the point of crossing the white background of the tower was so similar in color to the object that it appears impossible to separate them in planes. Also, the last few frames of the object's passing have those cuttlefish wavy looking appendages that so often indict "rods" as simply being flying insects whose wing beats are fast enough to be blurred by the frame rate of the camera.

probably a bug or bird flying too fast for the camera. then again, that looks like Disney sooo....
...I forgot how I got here but everyone seems to be heading off in that direction. I hope someone brought food. I have a feeling this is going to be a long journey................

Did anyone wonder why no one at the football game saw or said anything about this UFO? Unless of course, its a just a bug(s) looping around in front of the camera lens and the UFO was only discovered on the video.
That has a lot more weight then postulating whether or not its Lrrr from Omicron Persei 8.
Cheers

No one is saying this is (necessarily) a spacecraft from outside the Solar System; and yet you seem to be forgetting there are many cases in which people shot photographs that as they were later developed, showed unusual objects that were not seen by the cameraman, either because the objects were invisible or they were not paying attention.
Furthermore, how many people gathered in a stadium spend their time looking up to the sky? Add to that the fact that the object seemed to have been very rapid.
I've seen Escamilla's videos, and I do think they show nothing but bugs; that was my first reaction to the NFL video, but when it showed the object passed behind the fake castle, then it caught my attention.

I have looked at this video a number of times. One of the better public versions of still shots is here:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/01...
The lighted object clearly passes behind a physical structure. Only the subject of UFOs could bring out so many reasons that it did not.
I don't claim to be smart enough to say what it is... or is not. But I have recycled this vid so many times and whatever it is, it is definitely behind that steeple.

Object behind the steeple - that's what threw me too. My initial instinct was obviously a blurred bug in highlight traveling faster than the shutter speed could capture it. BUT just because it looks like it is behind the steeple - is it? I ask because of those Moon Photos where the cross hairs appear partially behind rocks and objects making the pictures appear faked - as promoted by the moon landing hoax crowd.
Is the "rod" appearing behind the steeple some anomolous artifact of the video's ability to record the blurred object in motion versus the static unmoving object - ala double exposure. Meaning the blurred object passed in front of the steeple close to the camera i.e. bug, but the the static unmoving steeple then recorded over the blur of the bug? I have no idea of course - either it's a bug near the camera - or some very large quick moving UFO - unidentified flying object...whatever that may be.
