I haven't watched the video yet, but I have read a brilliant book about the subject, The Mummies of Urumchi (Amazon US & UK). Elizabeth Wayland Barber, an ancient textiles expert. Illustrated with colour photos and drawings, it's a terrific book about a fascinating subject.
