Captured, collared, freed, recaptured, euthanized - Arizona's jaguars were better off as cryptids

A jaguar collared near Tucson last month was recaptured today and sent to the Phoenix zoo for medical treatment, officials said. It was put down late today, officials say.

I think Loren Coleman and the folks at Cryptomundo will find this of interest. Loren posted the news about the capture of this jaguar last week.

It's really a sad ending for this beautiful animal :(

But the question remains; was that liver failure due to natural causes, or what? did the people that captured him the first time inadvertently caused the failure? did the animal get poisoned? I'm still intrigued.
