The captain has been featured around here a couple of times. Personally, I do find it entertaining, but I'm ambivalent because he still displays that typical cynic skeptic attitude —you know what I'm talking about.
It's not the depth of the rabbit hole that bugs me...

I have not been able to place his accent. To me, it sounds like fluent English spoken by someone whose native tongue is Italian. My wife thinks he may be Brazilian, and one of my crazier friends suggests the Capt. is merely from Wisconsin, in the USA.
I suppose I should just see if any of the info hounds have posted bio stuff about him on wiki...
