Can We End Aging by 2029?

"For the past 9 years, many of the world's leading researchers have been quietly collaborating on a scientific roadmap to reverse - yes, completely reverse - the human aging process," explains David A. Kekich.

He's the founder of new biotech project that hopes to end the 100,000 lives lost to aging every day and within 20 years! Many of the projects researchers believe were approaching "longevity escape velocity" -- where medical advances outpace aging itself, "potentially making death-by-aging a choice rather than a date with destiny."

Two University of California researchers shared their findings at a kick-off event in November, where the group's colloboration was disclosed to the public.

Seems to me that if we conquered ageing to the point where no-one ever died, the over-population problem of the world would become such that we'd all die of starvation anyway.

As Floppy pointed out, I would bet every dollar I don't even have that such therapies would only be affordable to a very small elite of super-rich people.

But tell me, would you really want to live in a world where Bill Gates is immortal? ;)

Are cell phones only for the elite? They used to be.

Still, there are technologies that have successfully trickled down to us in the lower strata of society; and others that need to remain exclusive to retain their status value.

Take diamonds. The idea that they are very scarce is a fabrication concocted by the distributors in order to keep prices high.

But, even considering that anti-aging techniques would eventually become available to everyone, you can bet that will take a long time to occur.

....that create a massive cash flow in the pockets of the elite will always be available to everyone. Have you seen the price of a single Botox injection. Vanity is for the elite.
Cell phones are a cash flow, thats why they practicly give them away.

What makes you think that birth rates would stay the same?

Birth rates is something not to be tampered with recklessly. Allow too many births and you get overpopulation. Allow too few and you get an aging population and too few young citizens fit to work and pay the bills of the retired ones.

Paying the bills is the least part of the problem with a population that's too old.

Production is the problem. If everyone is retired, who actually makes things, like food?

...this research is being funded from somewhere, so if they find the answer you can be shore as hell there will be only a small percentage of people allowed or could afford to benefit.
Just what we need; the elite that have f*cked the world living another few hundred years.......umm, I pick death!

Some of the wording is really unfortunate:

Quote:

Really ? They hope to end 100,000 lives?

You know you can go to Guantanamo for planning that sort of thing.
