    1. the cover
      Hi,

If the graphic designer side of you would like to help out with the design side of things, you’d be more than welcome.

Aside from the cover, glad you like it.

      All the best,

      Jack

If I didn’t have a ton of brochures, booklets, posters and other crap lined up already for other clients, i would gladly help you. I was just being an ass….

But I can give you distant telepathic advice…its got too much text on the front, but if you want to list all that text, try making it smaller and listing it all on one side, perhaps bottom left. Otherwise you can say “and so much more inside…” to entice them. The tree in the background is lost and the image on your cover should always be what attracts people, even when it’s an online copy. You want the guy who has it on his screen at work to attract the guy who walks past his cubicle LOL

I love the logo, it’s great, but the font for the logo is too hard to read from afar when used for the smaller text underneath. Try to find a font that works with the logo font, don’t change the logo that’s fine. AND always look at other magazines that report on the same thing for a similar “look” not copying but for ideas. I’m not trying to tell you how to do your job, but this advice can help you in the future. Trust me I do it everyday and the stress is ungodly, and I know what it’s like to have a deadline and a magazine to get out on time. You guys do some really amazing work with the layout of the Darklore series, I love the simplicity of the covers, even when they seem complex.

        Good Luck 🙂

        1. Thanks
Thanks for the advice. It is much appreciated. I am constantly learning as I progress with this project, so it is useful to hear feedback like this. I think it would be cool to get a different designer to do the cover for each issue, but of course this will also take time to organise. Anyone out there reading this who would like to get involved in this regard don’t hesitate to get in touch.
